Shopping Saturday

My Mom and I had a great time shopping yesterday after lunch. We started at the Orem Mervyn's and it was a freaking nightmare in there. I tried to take a picture, but I'm not sure it did the crazed scene justice. With Mervyn's going out of business, there were supposedly big sales, but we really didn't see any good deals. All we saw was chaos - millions of bargain hunters tearing up the store, filling up the aisles, and not paying attention to anyone around them. I was instantly claustrophobic. Ick. Mom found a pair of high heels she wanted to buy (and she's such a shoe-obsessed person, she actually carries around a little sock hose in her shoe so she can be ready to try them on at the drop of a hat). I told her she could only pull those off if she was intending to star in Sex and the City, but she didn't seem to enjoy my sense of humor (nor did she want me to share the story, but I thought it was too funny not to). They were just too high!
We did score in other stores, though. I finally found my dream come true pink iPhone cover and I got some dressess for $6!! Deal of the century! Mom found a new purse and we also got some pink boots which will be perfect for the film festival - I can't wait to wear them! :) All in all, it was a really fun day and the time flew by. Thanks, Mom, for all your help in finding the great stuff.

Yeah I have to say that I was really dissapointed with the Mervyn's sale too! About a week ago we stopped by because of the signs and all we found was a measly 30% off regular prices - COME ON! Isn't that like a normal everyday sale? No wonder the racks and shelves were still full!
