Top Five LOL Animals of the Day

I Want This!

Ever since I started driving a million years I've wanted to be able to inflate a middle finger from the top of my car whenever someone ticks me off on the road (which, considering how much I drive, is pretty often).
Imagine my surprise and delight to see this invention online the other night - an LED light you control from the driver's seat that can indicate your displeasure with the cars around you.
It's genius! I want one! Plus, the middle finger? LOVES IT!

Pinky's Fandance - Christopher Heyerdahl

Christopher Heyerdahl played a super scary member of the Vampire Authority on True Blood this season and according to imdb.com, he's been on just about everything on earth.
He was very gracious and kind to fans and was happy to pose and sign for everyone. Cool guy. Super tall, too!

Dogs Have Angels Too

The other day I received an email from author Sarah Cavallaro asking if I'd like to review her book "Dogs Have Angels Too," since the lead character's name just happens to be Miss Pink. What a great name, right?!?!
I said I'd be happy to and true to her word, she put the book in the mail that day and I received it last night. Already I'm loving the color scheme (the back of the book has pink polka dots!) and that it has to do with dogs. Win all around!
Plus, she put this adorable inscription in the front - it says, "Dear Kristen, Who is the real Miss Pink? Best, Sarah Cavallaro." So sweet! Can't wait to read it. Once I'm finished, I'll write up a full review. Thanks for thinking of me, Sarah!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to Sunday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
This madness needs to stop.
Awww...look at the adoring way she's looking at him. I love it.
Oh, Zac. Why are you never near me? Don't you know I love you?
I will never tire of seeing Beckham's pink shoes.
Hot man and a dog, ladies and gentlemen! Hot man and a dog.

Top Five LOL Dogs of the Day

Rent This: The Hunger Games

So, I finally caved and watched The Hunger Games. Yes, I know I'm probably the last person in the free world to do so. I don't know why I didn't see it - I didn't have a block on it or anything. I wanted to see it when it came out, but my dad (aka my "movie buddy") saw it with someone else, so I didn't have anyone to see it with. Then it just seemed like it'd be on DVD soon enough, so I waited (despite my mother telling me every time we spoke that I needed to see it, read it, etc).
Last night I watched it. Yes, it was great. I enjoyed it. But it was also quite disturbing! What. The. Heck. Yes, I know, I need to read the books, blah blah blah, and I will, but wow. What a mind trip. Kudos to the person who dreamt it all up - vivid imagination there! Great colors and outfits, strong characters, a love story. Nicely done. Maybe just don't watch it before bed.

Pinky's Fandance - Hilarie Burton

Hilarie Burton is adorable. She was great on One Tree Hill and from what I hear she's just as good on White Collar.
She also rivals Jennifer Garner for Luckiest Woman Alive as she's currently engaged to Jeffrey Dean Morgan (and has also procreated with him). Both are so so nice to fans - I love it! :)

Everything's Better With A Fan

It's hot here. Like, Africa hot. And it's not just LA, it's Ventura, which is odd because usually being by the beach means we don't really get that super hot heat....that is, until now. It. Is. Hot. And it's muggy. Like you can feel the mugginess on you at the end of the day. It's definitely not a dry heat.
I was used to the heat in Utah only because I lived there so long I could prepare for it. I had an A/C unit for my window, ceiling fans, and a multitude of other fans on hand at all times. I was armed and ready for battle. Sure, it didn't always completely obliterate it, but it helped.

Lately I've been too hot to sleep and it was making me grumpy, so last night I finally drug out one of my box fans to help out. What a difference a fan makes! Here I've been longing for a ceiling fan (I LOVE ceiling fans), but this fan does just fine to cool things off. It didn't even scare Sammy. WIN.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Saturday Edition

Hello and welcome to Saturday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Will someone please post a mass memo that wearing a white shirt with a black bra is NOT OK? Thanks.
It's so nice to see Mark's happy, smiling face. He's so dreamy.
Again with the name tags? Are there really people out there who don't know who they are?
Kyra is adorable.
Amy looks super uncomfortable and those shoes are not working for me at all. Just sayin'. Normally she's adorbs.

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Duran Duran WIN

When I got home last night my sister had left me a surprise of the Astronaut DVD from Duran Duran. Fun stuff! I've never even seen it before. Can't wait to check it out!
While we're on the topic of DD (although, really, when am I NOT on the topic of DD?), all the best recovery wishes going out to my TLF, Nick Rhodes, who was forced to cancel the remainder of their neverending tour due to illness. Be well soon, my love!

Pinky's Fandance - Craig Parker

Man, just when I think my new camera is going to work out, I get a blurry picture...ah, well. It's still not as bad as some of my recent photo fails.
Craig Parker was moving super fast, though, so maybe this is his fault after all. His accent was amazing!

Premieres Are For Crazy People

Here's the thing about movie premieres: Unless you're going to see the movie, sometimes they're just really overrated. Don't get me wrong, the entire experience can be made better when you're hanging out with friends, but it's a battle nonetheless.
I made me and Lindsay matching necklaces. Super cute, right?
I found these pictures on WireImage and I'm posting them to show you the madness that is a premiere. We were in the front, right on the barricade, and were essentially getting squished. Blech.
Still, it was super fun to hang out with Lindsay and see all the, um, interesting outfits on display. At some points we thought it might be Halloween!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Friday Edition

Hello and welcome to Friday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
It's completely disconcerting to see Xena the Warrior Princess wearing an old couch cover and ugly nylons. Yuch.
Do you think Josh Duhamel knows he's not in high school anymore?
Are there birds living in her hair right now?
Man, sometimes she is just drop dead gorgeous.
Wow. Those pants are amazing. And by amazing I mean I just threw up in my mouth. Does Zach need to wear a bra?
