Top Five LOL Animals of the Day

Duran Duran at the Mid-State Fair

Back in February I bought tickets to see Duran Duran at the Mid-State Fair, which is fairly close (less than an hour away) to my home town of Santa Maria.
Despite seeing the show several times already, I wanted to experience it with my BFF, Lanette, and Keith (after we had such a hard time seeing anything during the Hollywood Bowl).
As I'd previously mentioned, after our neverending drive, we finally arrived with time to spare. We even had time to pose with the Duran Duran sign!
This was when we arrived. But, I'll be honest - I didn't want to go. Nick Rhodes left the tour three weeks ago for a "family emergency" and I really didn't want to make that trek when my fave member of the band wouldn't even be there. I almost cancelled, but the tickets were in my name and I needed to go.
Long story short, I'm SO glad we went! As soon as we got through the gates, we started seeing people we knew. This is my friend Little Chris who I've known for pretty much ever.
This is Anna, who I went to grade school with.
These are a bunch of friends I haven't seen in a million years. They either went to different schools, were in different grades, or just haven't I been around them lately.
I was SO excited to see them all! About four or five songs in, they came to our row and pulled us out. For the remainder of the show we stayed together in this little section dancing and catching up. It was the best. From left to right: Stacy, Erin, Lanette, me, Jen, Lisa, Katie, and Paula.
The show itself was awesome, of course, but still missing my true love, Nick.
More group shots! From left to right: Lisa, Lanette, Jen, me, Stacy, and Erin.
After the show was over, we saw even more people! This is Cherise, along with Stacy and Lanette.
I even ran into my old friend Josh and his family. So cool! Overall it was an incredible night and I'm so glad we made the trek after all.

Pinky's Fandance - David Blue

David Blue is awesome. We met at Sundance forever ago and then ended up seeing each other there pretty much every year until...I dunno. 2009 maybe?
Here are just a few of our fun pics. Trust me, there are tons more.
I believe this was the last time I saw him, but I could be wrong. Again, it would take a lot of research to find all our pics.
Imagine my surprise to run into him at Pantages last week! Such a fun reunion! He was hanging out with Alaina Huffman, who's also an actress and super cool.
So awesome to see him!

Road Trip from Hell

So, last weekend we drove to Utah pretty much without any issues at all. Easy peasy. Mind you, that's a 12 hour drive. This week we headed to Paso Robles, CA (which is 3 1/2 hours away from LA on the 101 or three hours from the 5 freeway). You'd think we'd be pros at driving, right? Wrong.
Granted, none of it was our fault, but boy did it make everything dramatic. So, to save a little time and spend more time with my BFF Lanette, who was going to the concert with us, we decided to drive to Bakersfield and meet up with her there. Then, we'd drive over to Paso Robles on Highway 46. All this would have been fine, except for the fact that the road closed halfway to her house. CRAP. We were in this horrible mess of non-moving hell for the longest time. Finally, Keith turned around and we had to drive all the way around, drop Sammy off with my Dad, and then head to Paso on the 101. Lanette was sure we wouldn't make it. Keith was sure we would.
\
This was me before the road closure as I was trying to display my awesome Duranie necklace for my Duranie friends who were also sporting theirs. Thankfully, we made it to Paso with time to spare before Duran Duran went on stage. Hooray! Great driving, babe!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Isn't she supposed to be a role model for teens? PUT SOME CLOTHES ON...oh, and a bra would be nice, too.
Somebody's feeling the jet-lag.
Shouldn't she be trying to show Taylor what he's missing? This is not the way to go about it.
I love those boots!
Oh, heavens, no. Tie-dyed? Blech.

Top Five LOL Dogs of the Day

Sweet Sammy

I thought Sammy and Keith looked so adorbs like this the other day.
Sammy looks like a big fluff ball.
Awww....giving Daddy some sweet kisses! Loves it!

Pinky's Fandance - Lisa Vanderpump

Although I've met Lisa Vanderpump several times, I really liked the brooch she was wearing to the play last week, so I couldn't resist getting another picture with her.
Per usual, she was very kind. For a reality show star, she sure seems down-to-earth (well, as much as one can be). Definitely very sweet to fans.

Cuties

After hanging out with my brothers' families last weekend, we made sure to stop and see my sister's family when we got back into town.
The kids are getting so big!
Especially this little cutie. He never slows down for a second!
Sister, sister.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Monday Edition

Hello and welcome to Monday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
This is the perfect look for Katy.
First of all, nice emoji face. Second of all, why is she mixing lingerie with a scout uniform?
Someone got into the beadazzler...
Button up that shirt and put on some pants. Ugh.
Alright alright alright...he's out of the car and looking rather normal. Finally!

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Reunited!

As much as I hate being away from my dog, well, ever, it's especially hard when we're on the road to a wedding and know that it's going to be too much to bring him with us everywhere we go.
Luckily, Sammy was able to have some Grandpa time and hang out with him for a few days.
Being reunited with our little pumpkin was the best! Kiss festival for days! I wish you could see these pictures "Live" because they move and are the cutest things ever. Love this little guy!
