An Unexpected Delight: Table 19

I stumbled upon Table 19 quite by accident as it was playing on cable and there wasn't much else on. While I vaguely remember hearing about it when it was released, I never heard much after that, so I never really had any preconceived notions.
At first, I wasn't sure if I'd like it, as it was already 45 minutes into the film and looked kind of a mess. But, slowly, it grew on me. As I continued to watch, I became more and more invested with each character and by the end, I was smiling and wondering how it had begun. After setting the DVR to record the entire movie the next time it aired, I was anxious to share it with Keith.
We both ended up watching the whole movie last night and really, really enjoyed it. The cast of characters are quirky and it has a rewatchable quality where you catch new things the more you see it. It was reminiscent of The Breakfast Club, where people who normally wouldn't interact end up becoming friends, and by the end you were rooting for all of them. I kind of loved it and will probably end up watching it again and again.

Pinky's Fandance - Pretty in Pink Edition

On this day in 1986, one of my all time favorite movies was released into theaters, Pretty in Pink.
In honor of this momentous occasion, I thought it'd be fun to take a look back at my pictures with most of the cast members.
Blane (not to be confused with a household appliance) himself, Andrew McCarthy, was a total sweetheart.
Andie, erm, Molly Ringwald, however, left a lot to be desired. This is a fake smile. I'm just saying.
Jon Cryer, Duckie Dale himself, is always a true delight.
Iona, I mean Annie Potts, is a dream.
Steff, played by James Spader, was nicer than I expected him to be.
Kate Vernon, aka Benny, gave me a Pretty in Pink button, so she rules.
Andrew Dice Clay, who played the Bouncer, was exactly as you'd expect him to be.
R.I.P. Harry Dean Stanton. You will always be Andie's Dad to me.

Love It

First of all, these letterboard things are so neat. I saw one at Target the other day and totally need to get one for our house.
Second of all, I found this randomly online while looking for Keith Coogan mentions and it made me smile. How cool is that?!?!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Friday Edition

Hello and welcome to Friday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Is it me, or is her boob about to fall out??
Nice shirt, John, said no one ever.
I love this color on her! Is a wind machine blowing up her skirt?
Nice bra. Is she trying to be a dominatrix?
MC Hammer called. He'd like his pants back.

The Best Pasta Around

Several months ago, I was craving fettucine alfredo. Not just any fettucine...GOOD fettucine. Which is sometimes hard to find. Sure, there's a lot of knock off kinds, but they're not always good. I wanted something really, really delicious.
Keith did some Google research and suggested I order from Two Guys from Italy...and I'm SO glad I did! Not only did I discover the best fettucine around, but the restaurant itself is a delight.
Up until this week, we'd only ordered it to be delivered a few times, but we'd never actually eaten at their restaurant. For our 52 month anniversary the other night (yes, you heard that correctly), we decided to try it and YUM!!! Wow.
Now, the fettucine is certainly a delight (and is SO filling you end up eating most of it for lunch the next day), but by far the best part about their offerings is the Two Guys Bread. OH MY DELICIOUS. You want to weep it's so good and I'm not even exaggerating.
Keith was especially pleased to see olive oil on every table...a must at an Italian restaurant!
See his delight in his meal?!!?! It was the best! We'll definitely be back.

Pinky's Fandance - Kevin Smith

So, in searching for this picture the other day, I realized I'd never posted it here before. DUH. Major fail, Pinky!
This, of course, was from back in October when we had the opportunity to chat with Kevin for a bit before his Hollywood Babble-On show and gift him with a plate. He's such a wonderful guy. The kindness in his eyes and his genuine heart is so endearing - it makes you an even bigger fan than you were before. We adore him and are sending him all the love in the world as he recovers from his heart attack.

Pink Dratini!

While I realize my Pokemon Go catches aren't really interesting to anyone else but me, I was super excited to catch a Shiny Pink Dratini this past weekend.
It's beautiful!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
I feel like this shirt (?) is going to dissolve off her at any minute.
Love the suit color, not digging the hair in front of her eyes.
Why does she look so frozen? Is it a call for help? Also, do you think her voice ever annoys him?
Holy hell. I love you, Kathryn, but your hair is a major FAIL. Even Emmy is like, "WTF."
Nice pajamas, Rachel.

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Low-Key Weekend

Knowing that next weekend is going to be jam packed and exhausting, we had a fairly low-key and relaxing weekend these past few days. We went car shopping with my Dad on Saturday and then on Sunday night we had tickets for a Kevin Smith comedy show. There was a 7pm show and a 9pm; we were scheduled for the second show.
Unfortunately, between the two shows, Kevin had a massive heart attack and an ambulance was called. The audience was told to go home, although we were terrified all night that Kevin might not make it. Thankfully he made it to the hospital in time and we're SO relieved!!!!
Shows can always be rescheduled, but what's most important is that he'll be around to continue sharing his amazing kindness and gifts with the world. Sending hugs and love for a positive recovery, Kevin! We love you!

Pinky's Fandance - Rachel Bloom

Here's what I love about seeing Rachel Bloom over and over again....she remembers me!
Every time she sees me, she'll say, "It's nice to see you again." Squee! Love her show and am amazed at how hard she hustles. Very good example to us all.

Woot!!!

So, not only is Keith going to be a guest at New Jersey Horror Con this weekend...
But we just found out that he's also going to be a guest at Silicon Valley Comic Con in April!
How amazing is that?!?! We're SO stoked! San Jose, here we come!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Wednesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
I can't really tell if this was a fashion choice, or if she was just cold.
She's adorbs.
Issa's smile lights up the room....regardless if her dress reminds me of Macaroni and Cheese.
Oh, my NO. Ugh.
Is she sleep walking? Did something get stuck to her outfit?
