Official Business - Pinky Style

Yesterday I ventured into Burbank to sign my life away to my new and exciting upcoming job. After promising my firstborn and surrendering any and all inventions (do the robots in my trunk count?), I was ready for my drug test. Well, ready is a bit much. I was looking forward to it being over - does that count? I don't know why I worry so much about this stuff - mainly because I've got antibiotics in my system and there are poppyseed muffins in the house. Hello, paranoid, thy name is Pinky Lovejoy. After my official business was taken care of, I headed over to Echo Park to have lunch with Bobby and Dave, two friends from high school. I know we talked about Bobby recently, but Dave was a new addition to the group. He actually lives in Germany now, so it was a treat to have him at lunch with us. I know it may sound silly, but the 14-year-old girl inside me would've been SO jealous to be eating with Bobby and Dave - you see, they were Seniors when I was a Freshman, and suffice it to say they were the B.M.O.C.'s (big men on campus). Even though we're all adults now, there's a part of me that still looks up to both of them with awe and amazement. I wonder if that ever goes away? After lunch, I met up with Adam for yet another premiere - but let's not get ahead of ourselves. For now, let's just enjoy the beauty and wonder that is Hayden Dreamboat Christensen. This was the second picture we took and pretty much is my favorite. Perhaps I'll put it on a birthday cake. :) p.s. In other, more personal news, I wanted to send a shout out and speedy recovery to my step-dad, Mike, who bravely battled a last-minute triple by-pass earlier this week. As much as it sucks, I'm glad they found everything in time. He'll be back to his old self in no time!
