This Must Be Stopped

It's so funny to think that only a few years ago cell phones were hardly prevalent. When I lived in Italy I thought it was insane how many people had cell phones, because it hadn't quite become as necessary (or popular) here yet. Now, you can't walk two feet without hearing someone's conversation. And, you know what, that's fine. Whatever. I'm just as bad as anyone else. I freaking worship my iPhone and when it's out of range or something's not working, I lose my mind. I immediately feel out of touch, disconnected with the world (which is sad when you consider I'm usually hanging out with real, live people when I'm experiencing cell-phone loss-itis *I made it up, go with it), and want to run into the nearest Apple store and pledge my firstborn child for a working phone (OK, I might be slightly exaggerating, but you get the point).
But here's where I draw the line: If you're in a public bathroom, and specifically in the stall doing your business, turn off the phone. Seriously. Shut it off, stop talking, and save us all the uncomfortable feelings of listening to your stupid conversation that couldn't possibly be put on hold while you take a dump. If you don't shut your yap, I'm going to shove that
phone up your yimmer yammer and the sun will never hit it again. Why do people think this is OK? I realize that we've sadly been watching the decline of overall manners and general decency in the world, but come on. Why isn't this just something that people automatically realize is rude? Has the world really declined so much that we can't recognize how disgusting this all-too-common habit is? Blurgh. I hate people.

Hmmmmm...that could pose a problem. Especially if one were to "drop" their cell phone. hahahaha Ewwwwwwwww. What gets me is when I see people driving and talking on them. Grrrrr It's bad enough that I had to move from a state that actually had people that knew how to drive...but to live one where people can't drive AND then they are also talking on cell phones. ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGG!!! It brings the pirate out in me. hahaha
