Digging the Academy Awards

Now, this might surprise you, but I don't always watch the Academy Awards. Of course I'm interested in who wins and what they wear, but not the minute-by-minute show. However, I have to admit I've been enjoying the show so far (well, as much as I can watch before my bed draws me back in). I thought watching the camera pan over to Brangelina while Jennifer Aniston was presenting was hilarious. I love Hugh Jackman and so far he hasn't done anything I've dis-liked. Even Alan Arkin saying Philip Seymour Hoffman's name backwards (he said Seymore Philip Hoffman) was funny. I'd read they were trying to make it a lot more exciting and thus far I'd say they've succeeded (although I still think they only need to present the main ones and maybe the adapted and music - who cares about costume design and all that boring stuff?). Nicely done, Academy! My friend was able to go and all I can say is JEALOUS! My head would probably explode right there on the red carpet.
