My favorite thing about Sundance is finding those rare gems who haven't quite hit it big, but are on the cusp of stardom. It's fun to go back through the pictures and realize that you saw their talent long before the rest of the world (
plus, the pictures are a lot easier to get when no one knows them).
This year's up-and-coming award goes to Aaron Johnson, who starred in
Nowhere Boy (
a film about John Lennon) at Sundance and is currently in
Kick-Ass. Just watch, he's going to blow up. And, no, I don't know why it looks like I'm wearing a French beret. Don't judge me.
