Last night was, thankfully, my last night of playing soccer (at least for the Corporate Games). I don't know on earth happened, but the night before I did something to my legs in my sleep. I know, it sounds ridiculous, but that's the truth. I somehow dreamt about my legs being hurt and remember actually feeling pain. I think maybe I stretched them in my sleep? Not sure. All I know is that when I stepped onto the soccer field, my upper thighs both cramped up so much, especially when I tried to run and kick, that I didn't think I'd make it. I thought I'd fall for sure. In fact, I thought there was a good possibility I'd end up on the field and someone would have to carry me off on a stretcher. Nice. Needless to say, I didn't win any sort of awards and the fact that we lost was fine with me (
as there still weren't enough girls to sub out, so we all had to play the WHOLE game again...ugh). I did get a few kicks in, though, and even a head shot (don't be jealous), so I guess it wasn't a total loss. Plus, it reminded me of the great feeling of being on a team and everyone working together for a common goal. I loved that part of it. I hardly knew anyone on my team (despite all working for the same company), so it was cool to experience a few games together.
By the way, on a totally separate note, don't forget to vote for Failed Uprising at: http://blinkvoting.x96.com/index.php. You can vote twice a day! Come on, you know you want to. :)
