What a Difference a Year Makes

It's funny to think that a mere two years ago I was working at the same job I'd had for over eight years and planning to move to California without a job - just a hope and prayer that things would be better by the beach. At this time last year I was in the middle of Duran Duran fever when I saw the band a handful of times and was able to get my true love Nick to sign my leg. It was at that same event I met my friend Susan who encouraged me to apply for the job I have now. Kismet (see, good things can come from my DD obsession).
Even harder to believe? I didn't have Sammy at this time last year. It wasn't until I started working at The Worst Job in the World (which I only had for two months) that I was able to break away and pick him up from my friend's house. Hard to believe there was a time before my sweet little Sammy came into my life. What a difference a year makes! Now I'm in a job I love with a set schedule and room to grow. I've got great friends, family, and the cutest dog ever. Life is good. :)
