Read This: Wild Boy

On my recent Duran Duran adventure in Pomona, my friend Suzie turned me onto a book about DD. Curious to read anything I could regarding the early days of DD, I just downloaded Wild Boy - My Life in Duran Duran by Andy Taylor (who no longer happens to be in the band) on my iPad Kindle (did you see how effortlessly I just dropped that into a sentence? I'm such a braggart sometimes) and have been eagerly reading through his many stories.
This picture is from his 1982 wedding. I love how uninterested Nick looks in the events of the day. In case you didn't know, Andy was always my least favorite member of the band and I was more than OK when he left the band for good. Apparently, according to this book, Nick and Andy never really got along (which accounts for my distaste for Andy - my loyalty to Nick wouldn't allow me to like him).
Is it the greatest piece of literature I've ever read? No, no, it isn't. In addition to being a fairly terrible writer, he repeats himself. A lot. On the plus side, it is one of my favorite subjects (and if you had any doubt of that, check out my newest article for http://www.mikethefanboy.com/ in which I discuss my love affair with Duran Duran. It was posted today), plus it's really interesting to see the stories behind the videos and songs. Of course, part of me (OK, a big part) wants to skip through the entire book and only read the sections that mention Nick. Is that wrong?
