After weeks months of never-ending events and a schedule that never quits, yesterday I took a self care day. My intent was to get a little more sleep, a lot of doggie snuggles, and some house cleaning done, but my body was so wiped out that for the most part, I slept over half the day.
Still, it was good for me to take the time. I realized I had some extra time saved up at work, so why not take a "me" day?
Once Keith got home (and after he'd taken a lovely nap), we tackled our house together and what a difference it makes! I instantly feel lighter. My BFF is coming into town tonight and we're flying over to Denver for our Girls Weekend together tomorrow, so we had to have our house in order. What a world of difference!
