An Open Letter to Dollar Tree

Dear (Nope, no kind reference for them) To Whom It May Concern:

You should be ashamed of yourselves. Seriously. The lack of customer service you have displayed is laughable. Silly me for thinking anyone at your company would care about little ol' me and something as ridiculous as, oh, I don't know, receiving an order I placed almost two weeks ago. The sad thing is that I was so excited to have found the perfect item to add to our table at shows. I ordered an entire case. The expected delivery date was August 17th, but I was hoping it would be sooner (as most things are when you order them these days). Alas, at this rate I'm never going to receive my order.

I should have known there'd be a problem when I called on Monday (as week after the order was placed) to see why I hadn't been charged yet. The incompetent and rude rep on the phone said it gets charged when it ships. When I asked why it hasn't shipped yet, she said it was up to UPS. The order said to get it there by August 17th, so she said they'd pick it up when they felt like it in order to get it to me in time. While I hated everything about that conversation, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt.
On Wednesday, I was notified that my order had shipped and I was charged! Hooray! I figured I'd have the item sometime yesterday, but when it didn't arrive I got concerned. This morning I tracked it on UPS and saw that the label was created two days ago, but it hasn't moved. Nothing has happened. I contacted UPS and they said they never received the order from Dollar Tree. Guess what Dollar Tree had to say about this?? Are you ready? "It's up to UPS." I've called three or four times already today and spoken to different people and not one of them is smart enough to figure this out. All they say is to call UPS. Well, UPS says to call Dollar Tree. Is this really how I should be spending my time? I just want my order. That's it.

Oh, the best part is that when I asked about the August 17th delivery date, they said it's just an estimate. Well, that's news to me. Why did I order at all? I could have driven around to various stores and found these myself at this point. I'm so frustrated. Of course your website has no information. No way to contact anyone. No way to get help. WHY WON'T SOMEONE JUST HELP ME?!?!

The only thing I know for sure is that I will never order from Dollar Tree online again. And your customer service sucks.

Thanks for nothing,
Pinky Lovejoy

*********************************************************************************UPDATE!!!! By some miracle, I was saved by someone who cares at their company! She went above and beyond and I am SO very grateful. Granted, it doesn't really take away from the fact that my order was, in fact, LOST, and I have to go pick the items up now, but I do feel heard and I'm very thankful for her taking pity on my frustrated soul. THANK YOU! (but the rest of their customer service department could really use some training)
