Top Five FAILS of the Day

An Attitude Only A Sister Could Love

Last night as we were fervently loading up the truck (big thanks going out to Erin, Spenser, Tracie, Mark, Marshall, and Betsey for their awesome help), I started getting cranky. We'd been going for almost four hours and I was beat down. It was hot, the big things were in the truck, and I was pretty much ready to be done. Plus, as I've mentioned, I'm sick, which really isn't helping the mix. Luckily, my sister knows me like the back of her hand (we can pretty much finish each other's sentences and sometimes don't even have to speak to communicate), and simply said, "I know that tone. Kristen's done and pretty soon she's going to flip out. I think we're done." She didn't do it in a derogatory way, by any means, she was just telling everyone around that I was close to losing it. Which I was. Sometimes you forget how nice it is to be around someone who knows you that well. I love that. I'm so lucky to have close family and friends.

Big thanks to Corrine for the cutest keychain in the entire world. I LOVE IT! Not only is it Hello Kitty, pink, and shaped like a cell phone, but when you open it up it has lip gloss! Could anything be more perfect for me? I think not.

Almost Ready To Go.....

Wahoo! The truck is packed, the house is almost cleared out, and today is practically my last day of work. The past few weeks have passed by in a daze and I can't believe I leave for California tomorrow. Big thanks to all my rock star friends and family for their help, support, love, assistance, and meals (as I've been treated to a few meals lately...lucky girl!). Unfortunately, I seem to have acquired quite the cold from all the activity and lack of sleep. Fail. Being sick and moving = sucks.

I'd rag on Lindsday for wearing brown boots with black shorts, but I'm so happy she's wearing pants at all, that I won't say a peep.

Speaking of pants, did Jada Pinkett-Smith forget to put some on?

You know, there are a lot of rules at the airport, but taking off your shirt while going through security isn't one of them.

Ooooh, pretty sheet.

Kudos to Prince on not only receiving a Lifetime Achievement award, but also for having the cajones to wear a shirt with his picture on it. Now that's some self-confidence.

Operation Load The Truck

Do you see this beautiful sight? It's the picture of the truck I'll soon be picking up. Yes, that's right, the Pink Palace will be transported to California in this lovely yellow truck. Hopefully I won't have to drive it, but who knows. I'm going to be SO happy when this is all over. Oh, speaking of moving....did I mention we're having a moving party tonight? Well, party might be a bit of an exaggeration, but the more the merrier. Come one, come all to help us load up this truck - the more help we have, the quicker it'll go. You know you want to. I can see it on your face.

Pinky's Fandance: Clark Duke

Clark Duke was on Hot Tub Time Machine and Kick-Ass and just happened to be walking by as we were waiting for Colin Farrell.

He was completely adorable and made me have a *wee* bit of a crush on him. Come on, he's wearing glasses and is obviously a bit nerdy. You know that's my weakness. Now, if he were also gay, then it'd be a sure bet that I'd be in love. :)

Farewell Lunch: Work Edition

Yesterday Angie organized a farewell lunch at work, which was super fun. I honestly had no idea that practically everyone we invited would actually show up. They like me, they really like me!

As there were two tables, I had to flit about from table to table, but it all worked out. We ordered in yummy Sam Pan (chinese food) and enjoyed the beautiful day.

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Calling All Friends: HELP!!!

Thanks to my awesome family, the Pink Palace has been packed up and is ready to load into the truck. The next hurdle? The people left to pack up said truck are me (weakling with a lame arm) and my sister (who weighs under 100 pounds when she's wet).

Tomorrow I pick up the truck and then THE FUN BEGINS!!! That's right - it's a moving party at the Pink Palace. Wanna come? You know you do. Hey, the more bodies we have moving things, the faster it'll go. The last time I moved we had a ton of help and got it all moved really quick - especially considering nothing was packed. Oops.

Plus, this will give you a chance to bid Pinky Lovejoy adieu as she goes out into the big, crazy world. We'll be loading up on Tuesday and Wednesday before taking off on Thursday, so if you happen to be in the area, stop on by! Would love love love to see you (and, perhaps, put you to work a wee tiny bit). Wow, that was a shameless plug, huh? Well, desperate times call for desperate measures. :)
