Rocking Out

Last night we went to support a friend who was doing stand-up at a cafe way down on La Brea. After his set, his friend took the stage to perform on the piano. My apologies for the crappy photo, but I was trying to sneak it while they performed.
The most interesting part of the night was watching the performer add in other bits to his act. The girl drumming was playing on some plastic buckets and a symbol. It was amazing to watch and listen to. I mean, he was good on his own, but adding the percussion turned it into magic. Then, they added a girl tap dancing on a little travel floor, which made it even cooler. Such a unique opportunity to be a witness to all that. Very neat.
