A Remake I Can Get Behind

As opposed as I am to a lof of the remakes being made lately, I finally saw a trailer for one today that I am SO. VERY. EXCITED. about. As soon as the trailer started and they showed a lady dressed in a toga, my heart lept. As the trailer went on and they showed glimpses of the action, my heart raced. Finally, I heard the phrase, "Release the Cracken!" and I may have squealed (it was an inside squeal, don't worry). That's right - they've made another Clash of the Titans. Hooray! I'm surprised how excited I am, considering I watched the original 1981 film approximately 659 times. I LOVE this movie - and the scene above, when he cuts off Medusa's snake-filled head? Genius. But really, when you think about it, doing a remake now makes total sense considering how far advanced the CGI technology has come. The Cracken looks amazing. Yes, the original had some good effects, but this one is going to blow them away. Plus, Liam Neeson play Zeus. March cannot get here fast enough - it's being released on March 26th. Bring it on! :)
