Top Six Postsecrets of the Day

Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to Sunday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. For a second I thought Pamela Anderson actually got dressed, but then I saw her lack of pants. Does she think by dressing patriotic we won't realize her terrible taste in clothes?
Ah, Drew. I almost approved of your outfit until I saw your lace red gloves. WTF?!?! Once again, Mischa Barton displays her undying desire to become a Solid Gold dancer.Shhh, don't tell Jennifer Connelley, but we can see her boobs. One word: YUM.

Top Three Dating Cartoons of the Day

Magic Eye

Have I ever told you how much I love Magic Eye pictures? I totally forgot I have a whole book of them and I've been enjoying looking at it lately. Not everyone can see these glorious pictures and I think that's why I like them so much. Plus, in order to view the masterpiece found within, you really have to focus on the picture, relax your eyes, and basically just be patient. Then, just when you're about to throw in the towel and start to think it's all a bunch of malarky, the "secret" picture appears and makes it all worth it. I guess it's a nice analogy for life in general - sometimes you have to be patient, relax, and realize that if you stick it out, it'll be worth it. Good lesson to remember.

Pinky's Fandance, Saturday Edition

While we're on the Last Comic Standing kick, I thought I'd post my picture with Marcus, a local-guy-done-good, who came in second place on the show last year. I was lucky enough to go to a screening party he was hosting when the show was on and meet him. Marcus is hysterical - he's a master of impersonations. It was cool to be able to experience that event with him. I can't wait to see him perform again.

Fair Weather Friends

Warning: Possible rant about to happen. Just warning you in advance. Last night I spoke to my friend Idiot (name being withheld to protect the stupid) who basically said, in an incredibly condescending tone, that she felt sorry for me because I'm so sad all the time and she's now decided to become detached from me. She's done caring, now she'll just watch from afar. Really? This coming from the person whose made the worst choices I've ever seen in my life (no judgement, just an observation) and I've always stood by her, even when it was hard to watch. I suppose the reason it's bothering me so much is that this is the third good friend in the past year who has basically written me off and it's starting to piss me off. My BFF hasn't spoken to me in over a year. I miss him every single day and still am completely perplexed by his disappearance. My other friend, DK, who I used to talk to for hours at least once a week, called me a few months ago immediately after The Break-Up and, more specifically, five minutes after AFMF hung up and yelled at me, so, yeah, I was a little fragile at that moment in time. She pretty much said I was weak and stupid for not being able to get over it (not that she can't express her opinion, but it really wasn't what I needed at the time) and hasn't spoken to me since. WTF?!? Seriously. I pride myself on being a good and loyal friend and have maintained most of my friendships for long periods of time (many from childhood and Junior High). Yes, I realize it's been a challenging time for me and perhaps it's hard to watch. But don't bail. Don't judge me. Don't decide you're not cut out to be my friend after all. That's juvenile and small. I don't get it. I'm so mad. I wish I could write people off and not care that they're like that, but I can't. I'm a sensitive, emotional, (cry) baby and it hurts my heart when people leave, especially three people who've been so important in my life. I don't really know what was meant by venting today, I just needed to get it out. Thanks for listening.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Saturday Edition

Hello and welcome to Saturday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Could it be? Is Lindsay actually shopping for clothes that might possibly cover her entire body? No, that'd be ridiculous. What was I thinking?
Lady Gaga seems to have forgotten her pants again. Perhaps she should hire someone to remind her whenever that happens (which seems to be quite often). While I realize that by all accounts he's a total douchebag who makes orgasm faces when he sings, I can't help but be somehow drawn to John Mayer. He's sexy to me.Mrs. Douchebag seems to have lost her own clothes and had to borrow some man's jacket.Elizabeth Hurley is certainly wearing some pretty powder eye shadow. Does she think it's 1984?

I Loved This

There's an Hour of my Life I Won't Get Back

Back in the day, I was a HUGE Melrose Place fan. I remember many, many nights at BYU spent with my girls, Melrose Place/Beverly Hills 90210, and some Little Caesar's pizza - it was the best night of the week. So, you can imagine my excitement to see that they were bringing back Melrose Place, especially since I'm enjoying the revamped 90210 (don't judge me). However, it is with a very heavy heart that I'm here to report that this new lame cast:does not even slightly compare to the original greatness that was Melrose Place: The storylines were awful, the lighting was worse, and the acting was for crap. That was the biggest waste of time I've ever spent. Luckily I'd taped it so I didn't waste quite an entire hour on it. And I can't believe they think I'm going to be surprised by Sidney dying in the first episode - hello, that's been all over the internet for months. Do they think I'm dumb? In case you had even a small desire to watch this crap show, DON'T. Skip it by all means.

Pinky's Fandance, Friday Edition

In honor of some of my fave comics from Last Comic Standing coming to town next week (for the fair of all places), I thought I'd continue my walk down memory lane with previous Last Comic Standing contestants. Josh Blue won Last Comic Standing a few years ago and is super funny. Angie and I went to his show in Ogden and he was great. Now, it's possible that we bombed the front of the line and held everyone up, but no matter. He was a pretty cool dude.

Day Seven: Still No Voice

Well, the good news is that my voice does seem to be thinking about coming back. I'm not quite as squeaky as I was yesterday, but it's still not good. Stupid laryngitis. Stupid voice. Why doesn't it just come back? I was remembering earlier that when I moved to Italy I'd been getting over a really bad cold and lost my voice then, too. For the first week or two that I lived there, I couldn't really speak and people thought that was my actual voice. Once I could finally speak like a normal person everyone was surprised. I thought it was funny. So, other than my loss of voice and constant exhaustion (remnants of the cold, I'm guessing), there's not too much to report.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Friday Edition

Hello and welcome to Friday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Do you think Lily Allen is aware that we can SEE THROUGH HER SKIRT?!?! Holy crap, this looks like something Lindsay would wear.
Oh, Nic. Come on. I thought we'd agreed you were doing much better...and now this? I'm disappointed in you. And why is Eva Mendes dressed up like Elvira?Lady Gaga certainly sees the world through rose-colored glasses.Once again, I'm praying these outfits have to do with a flashback scene....as they're obviously from long ago. This douchebag needs to stop ruining my color.

Who's Your Favorite Princess?

Last night I watched some Disney movie about Ariel's beginning. I thought it'd be interesting, but unfortunately nothing is ever going to beat the original Little Mermaid (of course, it did show what happened to Ariel's mom, which I did find intriguing). Still, it reminded me how much I love Ariel. She's always been my favorite Disney Princess. I don't know why - maybe because she's got such funny friends (Flounder and Sebastian). Maybe it's because I performed on some Little Mermaid float and did a routine in high school to "Under the Sea." Maybe it's because I love a happy ending. OK, OK, you're right - most Disney movies have a happy ending, but for some reason I particularly liked this one. In fact, I like her so much I even have a Little Mermaid tattoo. Don't be jealous. :) So, inquiring minds want to know: Who's your favorite Disney Princess?

Pinky's Fandance, Thursday Edition

Alonzo Bodden was the winner of Last Comic Standing one season and luckily performed at a local comedy club last year. I love him. He's so freaking funny. He's also a "friend" on Facebook and has hysterical status updates. We took a few pictures because I didn't like the first one (my shirt was open or something) and he was more than willing to oblige. Once again, you gotta love my pose - why am I laying claim on him?

Day Six: Voice Still Missing

Well, I actually woke up today feeling quite refreshed, as I went to bed last night at a decent time and had a good night's sleep. However, my voice is still noticeably absent. Where, oh where, could it have gone? I've been trying to research laryngitis online and apparently I shouldn't be concerned until it's been missing for more than two weeks. TWO WEEKS?!?! Are they kidding me? I might die if I can't talk for two weeks. Well, I probably won't die, but it will definitely suck. Ugh. I hate this. Otherwise my cold seems to have subsided a bit (as it never really was in full force...just uncomfortable here and there)....but I want my voice back! Should I put up a missing sign?

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.Lindsay shouldn't even leave her house anymore. What on earth is her outfit this time? Does she just walk around and hope to be photographed in all her hideous fashion choices? Can. Not. Wait. for this movie! How cute is the pink purse and dress?
So, let me get this straight....if you're a Backstreet Boy and you get a whole sleeve of tattoos, wear sunglasses and Brad Pitt's hat, does that negate the fact that you're a Backstreet Boy? Yeah, I didn't think so.Poor Kelly Osbourne. I just don't know what could possibly ever make her look good. Oops, did I say that out loud?Yes, Jon, we all still think you're a total douche.

Top Five LOL Cats of the Day

Pinky's Fandance, Wednesday Edition

I first met Ben Foster in 2002 at my first Sundance event. He was little known and kinda shy and we talked for awhile at the party. I was going to try to get him tickets to some events, since he didn't have many hookups. He was sweet and innocent and I just wanted to take him under my wing.
Flash forward to a few years later and he's starring in the X-men movie as Angel. I don't know why, but I felt proud of him....especially how far he'd come. In the picture above, he was with his girlfriend at the time, Ellen Page, and I stupidly didn't ask her for a picture (darnit!).This year I saw him again, although now he's got more and more "people" and isn't as easily accessible. I'll have to find our first picture in 2002 so you can see the difference. He's still nice, but his people sure aren't. Ick. I was hating them.

Probably Should've Stayed in Bed

I actually don't feel that sick when I'm up and walking around...but then I start feeling hot and sweaty. Perhaps being out of bed is not the way to go. But, I hate stupid colds. I hate this cough. If I'm denial about being sick, am I really still sick? It seems wasteful to stay in bed. How boring. I have no appetite, I'm hot, and my cough could wake an entire neighborhood. Oh, and I still can't speak. That's nice. Every client who's called today says, "You sound terrible." Um, thank you? I'm going to lay low tonight. Maybe I just need to get to bed before 1 in the morning? That might be a plan.
