Is This Day Over Yet?

Yesterday actually wasn't bad at all, but today can go to Hell. Seriously, I'm done. I can't stand being awake one more second, let alone doing anything productive. I hate today. I hate everything about it and the sooner it's over the happier I'm going to be. Man, I haven't had a day kick my butt like today has in I don't know how long. I mean, sure, I've had bad days, but not like this. You know the kind where all you want to do is yell expletives at everyone you see, burst into tears at a moment's notice, and/or curl up in a ball under your desk? Yep, that's pretty much me right now. I really shouldn't be allowed to communicate with anyone. Can someone take away my phone? Seriously, I fear what I might do with it. It's not going to be pretty.

Pinky's Fandance, Wednesday Edition

Missi Pyle is one of those character actors you see on everything - normally she's blonde, though.Look at her smile, could she have been any nicer or more stoked to take a picture? Love her. She was just as nice as she is funny. Thanks, Missi! :)

Passive-Aggressive Wednesday

I think this note is funny. Maybe not passive-aggressive as much as just plain comical. Keep it up, alright? :)Apparently there are other things the grill can do to your food aside from spitting in it.Nice note from Mom on the poor girl's birthday! A chore and an announcement of her departure. Ouch. Happy birthday indeed.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Wednesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up (which is early since I plan on going home, going to bed, and possibly never waking up - that's how stellar my day has been). Oh, RiRi. You seem to have a "flat" - did you run out of product? I hate the hair either way, but ugh.The weirdest thing about this picture is the dog's head. What sort of dog/horse is that? It terrifies me. No wonder Jessica can't keep a man (oops, did I say that out loud?).Oh, Hilary. First the fedora, then the maternity shirt, all brought together by leggings? Yikes.Mrs. Douchebag doesn't seem all too keen on Mr. Douchbag being all up in her grill. It's probably because she's being forced to watch Spread again (aka THE WORST MOVIE ON EARTH).Aside from the fact that Channing Tatum is wearing some waiter's uniform, why is his face such an odd shade of orange?

Grumpy Grumpy Grumpy

I definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Probably has to do with my apartment being so hot at night I want to kill myself. Who can survive in such heat? It's impossible to sleep in such dire circumstances and no sleep = Grumpy Pinky. Seriously, I'm so grumpy I can't even stand myself. I've already gotten in a fight this morning. Not a good start to the day. Can I go back to bed and start over? That'd be great.

Top Three LOL Cats of the Day

(this one is for my Star Wars obsessed nephew, O)

Facebook Brings the World Together

Another day, another big find on Facebook - this time in the shape of a super cute lifeguard I met while vacationing with my family in Palm Springs one summer. He took me out (I think I was like 16) while we were there and then actually followed us to Knotts Berry Farm and hung out with us at the park. I don't know why our hot romance fizzled after that (since it was only 20 years ago), but I do know we spoke when I was in college and he was going to come visit me. But I'm pretty sure that's the last time we spoke. Flash forward to this weekend and there he was on Facebook. Surprise! Of course, he didn't remember me right away (the nerve!), but after a brief explanation he remembered my existence. See? Just as I suspected...Facebook brings the world together (whether we like it or not....). As we all know, I love walking down memory lane, so it was super fun to find my old friend (who is, of course, married with children now, like the rest of the free world). My list of "people I'd like to find" is dwindling pretty low now. What will I do when I find them all (and they're not all boys, btw). :)

Pinky's Fandance, Tuesday Edition

Jose Garcia starred in Quincinera (which was huge at Sundance a few years ago), as well as an episode of ER and some commercials (hey, he's just starting out). He was amazing in Quincinera as the brother. He was also super cute onstage during the Q&A of the movie - I was filming the cast with my video camera and he actually blew me a kiss. Hot stuff! I kind of love him a little bit, so I was super excited to find him on Main Street the next day.

Sometimes It's the Little Things

It's so nice to start a normal week and not have to "flex" my time to make up for missing a day due to travel. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of traveling, but after being gone the past three weeks in a row, I'm pretty happy that I stayed in town this weekend. Tonight I finally unpacked from my last trip and feel somewhat settled. Even better? I don't know why, but I must've had a visit from the "Good Hair Day" fairy - what else could explain my good hair days of late? Maybe it's just the length/perm/color all coming together for the perfect combination, but I'm totally loving my hair these days. Hey, sometimes it's the little things that matter, OK? Just give me this one thing. :)

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Pretty pantsuit, Mischa. If you could look closer, the red thing is actually crochet. Um, what? Really? Wow.Oh, look. It's Madonna and child.
Are J.Lo and Marc Anthony going to Prom? What's with the powder blue suit? Yes, Jude. It's a camera. You're a movie star. Try not to look so surprised. I don't know who told Christina Aguilera that bright red lipstick was the way to go, but I wish they'd tell her the truth. And the torn white jeans? Big No.

Entourage Obsessed

Once upon a time I had a HBO. I love HBO. It was glorious. I somehow got it for like $12 a month and was in heaven, especially since I could watch Entourage (which I did, religiously). Sadly, when I moved into my new place (not that it's new anymore, but when it was), I lost my HBO and all the glory that is Entourage. I also lost where I was in the seasons and thought I was up to Season Five. However, when I got Season Five from Netflix, I was completely lost. I did a recap of the previous season and didn't recognize anything there, either. To my absolute and total horror, I was THREE SEASONS behind! Egads! Needless to say, I've been watching Entourage on a continuous basis for the past few weeks. I'm obsessed. Tonight I'll watch my last and final disc which will get me all caught up and I must admit I'm a little sad. I'll miss Vince, E, Turtle, Drama, and Ari. I kind of love them a little bit (yes, I know they don't really exist. Shut up).

Pinky's Fandance, Monday Edition

Mark Webber may not be completely recognizable just yet, but I have a feeling he's going to blow up one of these days in the industry. He's already starred in several films and directed one to boot. I saw him at the Festival a few years ago when he was there promoting his movie. I saw him again this year and could just see he's about to get big. I don't know how to explain it...just a feeling.

My Weekend In Review

Any weekend that starts off with an Air Supply concert is going to be a wild weekend for sure! :) Well, OK. Perhaps that's a bit of a stretch. Luckily, I was able to sleep in on Saturday and then went over to the Farmer's Market and bought a super cute new necklace. After the market I had lunch with Ruthie at Rio Grande (delicious!) and talked to my sister before taking a nice, long nap. Last night I hung out with a friend (which lasted until late this afternoon, hence the late blog posts), talked to my sister, and watched the Liam Neeson movie, Taken. I'm now enjoying a nutritious dinner of microwaved popcorn (one of the joys of only having to worry about myself - no one complains when all I can muster is microwaved popcorn for dinner). So far it's been a nice weekend and I'm planning to turn in early and try to finally get caught up on my sleep from last weekend. Why does it feel like I'll never catch up?

Celebrity Wrap Up - Monday Edition

Hello and welcome to Monday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Oh, Lindsay. Thank you for putting on pants....err, shorts....um, what are you wearing exactly? Whatever it is, as always, it's classy.
Kelly, sweetie, please don't lick the anchorman. Put your tongue back in your mouth. You look ridiculous. Why does Jaime Pressley think it's 1920? Is she supposed to be some sort of flapper?
I don't know what's going on with Jennifer Aniston, but I can tell you she's EXCITED! Penelope Cruz is doing an excellent job of blending in with the red carpet. We can barely see you.

Top Nine Postsecrets of the Day

Pinky's Fandance, Sunday Edition

After the concert the other night, Air Supply had an autograph session, so of course Inge and I had to stay and meet them (how could we not?). Now, I know, it's not the greatest picture in the world, as the stupid girls in front of us ruined the whole picture thing and the Russells were getting tired and grouchy (nothing a little groupie couldn't help, I'm sure), but it's still Air Supply in the flesh! :)

All Out of Love

Friday night I went to see Air Supply in concert with Inge and a few of her friends. Since we had lawn seats, we wanted to get there early to secure a good spot. Unfortunately, the gates didn't open until 7 (we got there before 6), so we had an hour to watch the interesting crowd. Our favorite people in line? The photographer who matched the cross on his shirt with the ones on his jeans (wow) and the old man who decided to leisurely wait on the bench in a lounge position (Inge even saw him doing some leg lifts while he waited). Once we got our primo seats on the lawn, we had to suffer a group of drunk women who were a little too into Air Supply. Between them and the lady who said, "This is the best concert EVER!" it was a little much to stomach. As for Air Supply, they were.....um, entertaining? Comical? Hilarious? All of the above, actually. Bless their hearts for still thinking they're hard
core rockers (really? Were they ever?), but they were really trying to milk the experience for all its worth. Between walking through the entire crowd while actually singing, "Here I Am, the One That You Love" whilst touching and hugging crazed fans and then calling everyone up to the front row (to make it look like a wild concert?) so they could touch all the hands, I was seriously just laughing most of the time. Yes, I love their songs and for the most part they could still sing, but wow. It was a fun time....especially making fun of the old geezers. Bless their hearts.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Why does Rachel McAdams look so pale? And why is Cameron Diaz wearing my vest from high school? Thief.Lady Gaga wears yet another, um, interesting ensemble. Did she fashion her hair after Marge Simpson? It's official: Jon Gosselin has lost his douchebag mind. Did he steal Kate's hat?I don't know what to make of Gwyneth's dress. Is it hip? Is it edgy? It certainly is shiny.
What the hell happened to Val Kilmer? He used to be sexy, right? I mean, I think I remember him being a tasty treat. Seems like a million years ago.....
