Why Do I Want To Run?

Why is it anytime I have a fight with someone (read: a boy) I immediately want to run away and hang out with other boys? What good does that do? I don't really see how that's going to fix anything and yet I still want to do it. I'm the biggest wigger in the world it seems. Dumb boys. Silly girls. I hate this stuff. Oh, and apparently Valentine's Day is cancelled. It's my favorite holiday in the world (due to its pinkness in nature), but apparently it's cancelled. Sigh.

Celebrity Wrap Up, Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Did Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) escape from a mental hospital or something? Why is she wearing a strait jacket? Oh, Jennifer Love Hewitt. I'm so sorry your engagement didn't work out, but that's no reason to leave the house in your pajamas. I'm glad Jennifer Hudson finally found a jacket that is a grown-up size, but it's unfortunate she had to rip it off one of the Solid Gold dancers. Holy crap, look at the size of Mary-Kate Olsen's legs....they're the size of toothpicks. At least the rest of her outfit is bulk sized. If bubblegum was an outfit, Christina Milan would be wearing it right now.

Chick Flicks Make Life Better

I ended up just going to see He's Just Not That Into You today instead of doing the Academy Award movie. I was in the mood for a chick flick and being alone instead of a lunch date and company. I'd been planning to see the movie with McH and her sister, Amy, but they couldn't go until Monday and I couldn't wait. I'm impatient like that, you know. I'm glad I went - it was a cute movie. I cried (but then again, when don't I cry?). I liked it a lot.

Movie Saturday

My friend called tonight to see if I wanted to go and watch one of the Academy Award nominated movies tomorrow. It should be fun. Of course, I'd be just as happy watching He's Just Not That Into You which I'm DYING to see. Perhaps I'll go to both? Have a whole movie watching Saturday? Might get my mind off of The Crying Debacle, that's for sure.

Pinky's Fandance - Saturday Edition

I'm not proud of this picture at all. In fact, I'm kind of embarrassed about it, especially when you consider that I won't even blog about her (or post any pictures on my Celeb Wrap Up if she's in them). However, she is a Sundance staple and therefore a necessity if the opportunity presents itself, which it did last year. She was getting out of her car and a few people approached her for a picture. She didn't really stop, but enough so that the picture could be taken. McB thinks it looks like she's telling me a secret. Too funny.

What Radar Was Sent Out?

Here's a question - do men have some secret way of communicating wherein an alarm is triggered when someone is no longer available? Now that I'm no longer wanting to meet and/or date anyone new, they seem to be coming out of the woodwork. Tonight I was asked out three times - when does this ever happen? Of course, as I have no desire to go out with others I chose to stay home and crochet (surprise), but it makes me wonder. Oh, and I'm home because I'm a drama-loving freak who cannot be trusted. Apparently I chose to cry for the first time tonight in front of my gentleman caller, which was probably not the smartest thing to do. Yes, if I were you, I'd start preparing to read a bunch of schmaltzy, sad crap starting soon. Just giving you a heads up.

Celebrity Wrap Up, Saturday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.Um, is Jennifer Connelley's jacket wearing a jacket?Renee Zellweger might be young and spry, but her neck looks like it escaped from Joan Rivers' body. Yikes.Which pimp's closet did Mickey Rourke and Sean Penn raid? Sheryl Crow seems to have taken her song, "Soak Up the Sun" a little too literally. When visiting Tijuana, I'll admit to being tempted by the Chiclets, but how did someone convince Rachel Bilson to buy a skirt with a little man sitting at a table? It's like Tijuana outerwear.

Why Anthony Kiedis is a Douchebag

I realized last night that I haven't told the whole story about Anthony "I'm a douchebag" Kiedis shooting me down for a picture at Sundance. Not only did he say no, but he did it in such a douchebaggery way it makes me want to punch him in the face. The funny thing is that I could give a crap less about Anthony Kiedis in general (OK, OK, I'll admit I thought he was sexy back in the day - don't judge me), but now I'm all fired up. So, there he was, walking down the street, when I said, "Anthony, make I take a picture with you?" To which he replied, "I thank you, but no." Now, before you go getting all uppity and ask what's the big deal, saying no wasn't the problem. People can say no, that's fine. Well, it's not fine, I'm going to mock them when they do, but still, it's their right. That wasn't the worst part. As he said, "I thank you," he put his hands together and BOWED. That's right. Hands together, a bow, and then to add insult to injury, he said, "but no" with TWO THUMBS UP. Are you kidding me? Let's recap: Hands together "I thank you" as you come up from the bow and then "but no" with two thumbs up.I wish I had a video of it (although Heidi, Hiba, and I are pretty good at recreating it at the drop of a hat for anyone to see). In conclusion, hands together + bow + two thumbs up = Anthony Kiedis is a certified douchebag. The end.

How Did This Happen??

So, somehow in the course of the past few months, I now find myself fully immersed in a relationship. To what extent this relationship is, I don't know (as I'm not going to be the one bringing it up and things are totally fine between us, so why rock the boat, right?). I know it sounds silly, but it feels as though I accidentally woke up one day and was suddenly part of a couple. I don't know how that happened, it just did. Now, granted, for all I know it could be totally nothing and vanish as quickly as it started, but for now I'm enjoying myself. Well, for the most part. The rest of the time I'm trying to figure out why the more I care about him, the more my mountain of insecurities keep making an appearance. Why does this happen? I'm not this weak of a person and yet I'm questioning every little thing. I'm annoying myself; my friends must be sick of me by now. Is it only going to get worse from here? Because I will not be able to stand that. I'm already sick of all the worry. I just want to enjoy the ride and have fun, not be this crazy person. How do you find your footing when navigating a relationship? I'm going to need some tips. Help!

Pinky's Fandance - Friday Edition

Now one might think that after all my up close and personal brushes with celebrities that I would be somewhat calm and collected when one comes my way. In general, this is true; I can hob-knob with the best of them. However, last year when David E. Kelley walked into a screening I completely lost my cool. I couldn't move. This man is not only married to the gorgeous and impossibly flawless Michelle Pfeiffer, but he's the genius behind Ally McBeal, The Practice, and Boston Legal (just to name a few). His characters and storylines are beyond amazing and I think he's ridiculously talented and cool. My friend Jeff was actually shocked to see me stopped dead in my tracks. I desperately wanted to ask David for a picture, but I couldn't seem to remember how to walk. I was frozen. Somehow Jeff convinced me that it really wasn't any big deal and when I finally made my way over there David was totally normal and fine, but I still felt silly. When I sat down next to him I wanted to apologize that I looked nowhere near as beautiful as his perfect wife, but I resisted. Get the picture and get out, right? Oh, I may have told him he was a genius, but he probably couldn't understand what I was saying because my tongue stopped working, too. Isn't it funny how certain people can affect us in different ways?

Party at the Porcupine

After bowling last night I went out to dinner at the Porcupine Pub for Hiba's birthday dinner. It was my first time going to the Porcupine and it was a cool place. It was fun to see Hiba and Heidi outside of the chilly Sundance streets and meet some of their friends. Oh, and in case you're wondering, this is as close as you're going to get of a picture of my hideous haircut. At bowling it was decided that it's officially The Worst Haircut On Earth.

Celebrity Wrap Up, Friday Edition

Good morning and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.And so the decline of David Archuleta has begun. Here he is, gayface and all, performing in a parking lot in Florida. Classy.Despite needing a jacket for the frigid New York temperatures, Isla Fisher is as cute as cute can be. Well, except for the necklace that is almost bigger than her head. Now, maybe it's just me, but if I were ever selected to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, I think I'd try to spruce it up a little more. I mean, who wears comfy stretchy pants (most likely purchased at Wal-mart and only worn in the privacy of her own home or on a plane) and an itty bitty jacket? Did she overwash the jacket by mistake and shrink it right before the game?Wow, Hilary Duff, nice dress. Actually, it isn't. In fact, it's terrible. You look like a washed-up lounge act in Vegas. And close your mouth - that angle only exacerbates the horse face.Oh, look. Mariah Carey dressed up her boytoy/husband in a Zebra suit and then stole a long jacket from a flasher. Is she really covered up? The only skin I can see is her knees. I'm in shock.

Galoon's Latest Adventure

My friend Marisol sent me more pics from Galoon's visit out to see her in Tennessee. As you can see, he had a great time. Add Image

Happy Birthday, Hiba!!

Today is my friend Hiba's birthday. Just wanted to send her out some birthday love! I hope you have a wonderful day (and my apologies for posting a picture of Paris what's-her-name, but it was Hiba's big moment, so I couldn't resist).

I Am LOST!

OK, what on earth happened to Lost? Tonight is the first time I've watched it since it came back on and I am so LOST (not to be trite, but come on). Seriously. Time travel? Wasn't this show already confusing enough? I was already starting to go on the fence about it, but I may have gone over the edge now. I think it's officially jumped the shark (I've always wanted to say that). Speaking of shows losing my interest, I'm not really digging The Bachelor at all. The remaining girls are bugging and even the last few episodes were ugh. What happened to the french kissing dog lover, Lauren? Did she get hit by a bus? I couldn't even look at her by the end. I'm sad Stephanie left, but I do like Molly. Hopefully it'll be a happy ending and they'll run away into the sunset.....oh, wait. What am I talking about? These things NEVER work out!

Pinky's Fandance - Thursday Edition

I realize you probably don't know who this is and that's totally fine. I'm posting it today so you can see just how much useless information is found within this pink brain of mine. I was walking down Main Street last year at the festival when I passed this girl, Tracy Middendorf. I stopped her for her picture because I remembered that not only was she a replacement Carrie on Days of Our Lives, she was also Steve's crazy drama loving girlfriend on Beverly Hills 90210 a million years ago. Even better? Last season she was on Lost. I still wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly, so I went home and looked her up on http://www.imdb.com/. Sure enough, everything I remembered was true. Sometimes I frighten myself.

Maybe I Can Get a Wig?

So, lest you think that I've calmed down at the end of the day regarding my hideous haircut, nope, not at all. I'm still just as mad as ever. I washed it tonight to see if it might somehow grow back out in the water, but alas, no such luck. That lady (the horrible woman who maimed my hair) must have been just taking big chunks at my hair with her eyes closed. That is seriously what it looks like. This time I'm not even exaggerating. Yes, I want you to feel sorry for me. My poor hair! Egads. I want to scream.

Celebrity Wrap Up, Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.Oh, no. It's come to this. In order to flee from her tyrannical jailor, Katie Holmes has decided to dress up like a superhero and hope she can fly away to a new life. Bless her heart. Why is Scarlett Johanson wearing a couch? And is she trying to morph into Cher?Do you think Eva's jeans can get any tighter? Without painting them on, I don't think they can.Why is Rihanna wearing an apron as a skirt? I don't understand.Did Whitney Houston steal Kevin Costner's clothes from The Bodyguard? She seems to be morphing into a man.

Please Make the Chewing Stop

Earlier today I was in a room where I was surrounded by a symphony of gum chewing - it was the worst sound in the world. Not nice, quiet gum chewing, mind you - the most awful, vile, chomping gum chewing around. Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand gum chewing as an adult - I pretty much got that out of my system in high school (I was known at a bubblegum girl, after all). Why someone would choose to chomp annoyingly on a little piece of flavorless gum is beyond me. I'll stick to my tic tacs, thank you very much. No harm in annoying everyone around me with those.

Pinky's Fandance - Wednesday Edition

I met Corey Feldman in San Luis Obispo, California about ten years ago when I went to watch his so-called band play (I say so-called because they never actually played, so it's only hearsay that they even exist). Of course I only went to see Corey (duh, has anyone met me?), but as they were getting ready to perform in this little bitty club, suddenly it was announced that due to some monetary dispute, they wouldn't be performing after all. I immediately fled the club and went out back, figuring that I'd catch Mouth himself walking out back. I was right.I saw him from quite a distance away, but I could tell by his walk that was him (go Goonies!!!). For some reason, I decided we were BFFs and said, "Hey Corey! What happened, man? What's going on?" and suddenly turned into a boy. I don't know what possessed me to talk like that (it was way worse than what I described and may have included a few yo yo yo's), but it seemed to work. We chatted for a bit and then took a picture (this was one of my scandalous phases, as evidenced by my risque shirt and lack of proper undergarment support) and all was right in the world. He's my THIRD Goonie! How stoked was I? :)

I've Been Butchered!!!

You know the feeling when you've just had a GREAT haircut and you can't wait to show it off because you know you look amazing? Yeah, that was NOT my experience yesterday. I should've known it was going to be trouble when: 1) I went to Walmart (first mistake) and 2) The ladies working looked like escapees from the circus. I should have left right then. Now, it should be noted that I do have a hairstylist whom I love and adore and have been going to for years, but she's on vacation and I simply couldn't wait one more second to cut this overprocessed and dried out mop of hair. It was driving me crazy and my impatience won out over common sense. In the history of all bad decisions regarding my hair, they generally happen when I get impatient (and still I do it anyway). Needless to say, I'm mortified and want to hide under my bed. And, no, you will not be seeing a picture anytime soon. A hat didn't even look good this morning (*insert tears here*).
