A few weeks back, we joined our friends at Yamato Restaurant in Encino for a birthday dinner. Ever since that delicious dinner, I've been dreaming about returning.
You see, the problem with our first meal was that we didn't really know what we were doing. If we'd been experienced
(as we are now - ha!), we'd have known that the fried rice is what it's all about. We didn't order it the first time and made a horrible mistake. Not that it was bad - because it wasn't. Our meal was great the first time. It just could have been even better.
So, for the past two weeks, I've been thinking about the delicious food there and how great it must be with the added fried rice. I wasn't wrong.
Last night we ended our perfect day with the most amazing meal at Yamato. I mean, it was a meal for the ages. The fried rice really was perfection and I can't wait until we return
(well, I do have a birthday coming up next month.....).
