Someone Give Pierce Brosnan a Job

In addition to the birthday party last weekend, I was able to see a few movies while I was in town. The first movie we saw was Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. No, I didn't pick it - this was something my nephew, Spenser, wanted to see (and who am I to be a party pooper?). The funniest (although I'm sure it wasn't necessarily meant to be funny) part of the movie was watching Pierce Brosnan trying to be a serious actor while half of his body was a horse. Yes, that's right, Pierce played a centaur and I'd like to blow this picture up and use it to laugh on cue. Every time he came on the screen I cracked up. How far the mighty have fallen - from James Bond to a horse's ass. At least he didn't sing. The second movie we saw was She's Out of My League. I'm not going to lie - I thought it was hysterical. There were some outrageous lines and funny bits and I loved the main characters. It was just a fun movie to see. Granted, it's not going to win any Academy Awards by any means, but for what it is, I liked it. Nicely done. Of course, it didn't have Pierce Brosnan as a horse.....perhaps that would've made it even better?
