Mixed Tapes = True Love Forever

When you like somebody, I mean really like somebody, is there anything better than making them a mixed tape? I think not. Of course, these days it's not so much of a tape as it is a CD, but still. You get the point. Last week when I had lunch with my longtime friend, Loren, he showed me the mixed tape I made him in 1989. Wowsa. I'm shocked the pink ink held up so long. Of course I had to take a picture of it. What makes me laugh the most is that "our song" was "The Way You Do The Things You Do" by UB40, but any UB40 has always reminded me of him. Well, duh. This entire tape is comprised of UB40 songs (apparently I'd gotten a new tape around the time I made this one). I'd like to tell you that as I've grown-up I've stopped making cute boys mixed CDs, but that would be a lie. I love expressing myself through the lyrics of songs. It makes me happy. Cheesy, yes, but also happy.
