Oscar Recap - Part 2

Now, where were we again? And can someone explain why so many awards are handed out? Seriously, they just present the five main ones and be done with it. The rest are excruciating!

I heard on the radio this morning that the producers of last night's telecast were the same people who produced Chicago. Well, that explains why half the show it seemed was made up of Chicago crap. On a different note...that white dress wasn't doing Queen any favors. What happened to Renee's face? Do people even really need to ask her who she's wearing? I'm not even into fashion and I know the answer is always going to be Caroline Herrera.

Why is she still hanging around? I figured she'd be gone and out of the spotlight by now, but, sadly, she's still annoyingly here. Ugh.

Who kidnapped Kristen Stewart, threw her onstage in a dress and demanded she present? Did they beat her up first and cause that bruise? Why didn't she brush her hair? Why was she even invited? Even Daniel was like, "Yeah, I don't know what's going on with her hair either."

Hugh's ~~beard~~ wife wore PANTS to the ceremony. PANTS!!! I think women who wear pants to the Oscars should be sent home to change.

Did anyone see Rebecca's eyes on the red carpet while Daniel was being interviewed? Is there something wrong with her eyes? At one point it seriously looked like she was rolling her eyes while he spoke.

There was no logical explanation for Jen to even be at the awards. Loved the dress, though.

Loved Jennifer's dress, too. It's unfortunate that it attacked her as she walked onstage.

Nicole looked amazing. And look how sweetly she's looking at Keith! Take that, TC.

Pinky's Fandance - Leslie Bibb

You may or may not recall how Leslie Bibb became my nemesis after our Twitter war when she stiffed the few fans waiting for her at a talk show. It was super confusing at the time because I'd heard she was really nice, so the online name calling (essentially she called me a "douche") seemed out of character.

The other day we happened to run into Leslie after the Spirit Awards and I have to say she wasn't just nice, she was like "braid your hair" nice. Of course, when she asked me my name I chickened out and said, "Kristen" instead of "Pinky." I just couldn't reveal my Twitter identity - she was being so nice! I know, I'm a wuss. But look - she even took the picture herself! Fine, Leslie, you are no longer my nemesis. I forgive you.

Oscar Recap - Part 1

While I didn't really live tweet the Oscars (OK, I started to halfway through because things were just too funny not to tweet out), I did have a few random thoughts after the big hoopla is over.

Why was JT even there? Why was he wearing his "big hair wig?" Doesn't he have enough money to class it up and buy some real hair?

Hey Sandra - Don't ever make this face again.

Hey Anne - The world collectively groaned when you cheesed out with your stomach churning, "It came true" comment. I wish you hadn't won.

This made me laugh out loud hysterically for a long time. But, then again, I'm a child and always laugh when people fall (I know it's rude, I just can't help it).

HOLY HELL that boy is FINE. I'm SO happy he won!

As much as I love Ben, I love how much Jen loves him and how sweet they are together.

Oh, Bradley. You should never have worn your hair like that. It was atrocious. I say this with love...

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Same comment. WHY WAS SHE EVEN THERE?!?! (Yes, I know she was co-hosting a show, but, still).

Holy cuteness! That little girl's purse was the greatest Oscar accessory ever. A dog purse!

This may have been my favorite dress all night. I thought Jen looked amazeballs.

Oh, sweetie. It's not necessary to wear a drab grey tent to the awards show. And did you drive over in a convertible?

Rent This: Perks of Being a Wallflower

There are movies you see that you can't wait to buy and this week I was lucky enough to see two of them. One I mentioned earlier and the other is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. What a great film!

Set in the '80s, this is the story of a high school outsider who found an eclectic group of friends to spend his time with. The acting is incredible, the story is touching, and you really root for the underdog. I loved it and can't wait to see it again.

The Cough That Won't Die

I'm not going to lie: I need to go to the doctor in a MAJOR way. Or the emergency room. At this point I'm a little concerned if and when I finally DO go, they're going to put me in the hospital. But, I don't have insurance, so it's going to be a financial inconvenience, and it's Oscar weekend, so it's an inconvenient time. Doesn't my cough know this isn't really a good time for me? Sheesh!

I know I'm making light of it, but I will go. Eventually. Maybe tomorrow. After the Oscars. That makes sense, right?

Pinky's Fandance - Taylor Lautner

I've wanted to get a picture with Taylor Lautner forever and on Friday night I finally had my chance!

As you can see, I look slightly insane, but, oh well. I was excited! Now, I'm not Team Jacob or Team Edward, but I can still appreciate fine men! :)

Rent This: For A Good Time, Call....

For A Good Time, Call....premiered at Sundance last year and now I'm kicking myself for not going to see it then. I'd heard it was cute, but had no idea just how cute it was until I rented it last week. I LOVED it so much!

The movie is about a pair of unlikely roommates who have a phone sex line in their house. It's fun, cute, quirky, campy, and sweet. Plus, Mark Webber looks super cute and I just loved everything about it.
