Pinky's Fandance - Zac Efron
When I first learned that Zac Efron would be a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show, I figured it'd be a tough place to get a picture because there'd be a slew of girls waiting for him. Still, I had to try. Hello, it's Zac Efron. How can you look at him and not fall instantly in love?
What you might not know is that Zac grew up in a small town not too far away from where I grew up. As we have this "hometown connection," I made sure to let him know that the "AG connection" was strong and we needed to stick together. The people behind me were like, "What did you say to him to get him to come over? Whatever you said, it worked!" It's the Central Coast, people! We're tight like that.
Thank you, Zac, for being a total doll. I'm glad my drool isn't showing up in the picture. :)

Odds and Ends
It's been a busy week. Now that Adam's back in town, I seem to be going to LA a lot more (either working or hanging out) and I'm in dire need of a day off. Luckily, tomorrow will be that day. Hooray! In other pink news, I'm almost totally unpacked. Well, the boxes are about done - then we just have the bins and a bit of organizing and it's done. I'm hoping the end is in sight because it'll be nice to finally feel settled. While my room is decorated and getting close to being done, overall this month has felt a bit like I'm on vacation. I don't even know what day of the week it is most of the time. Next week I'm getting serious: More work, less play. Even if I have to donate/sell my plasma, at least there'll be some money coming in, right? Right.
While we've been getting some great pictures, I'm afraid the toll on my feet is quite high. Please note: this isn't an exact picture of my feet, but it's not far away from what they look like - huge blisters all over the bottom. Hey, tracking celebrities is hard work!
The roomie situation is good. I know my late nights stress my dad out a bit, but I must admit it's fun to come home and share the details of my day with him. He's a good sport about humoring me and looking at all my pictures, even if he has no idea who they are. Now I just need to make some $$ so I can start contributing around here.

Top Five FAILS of the Day
This might be my favorite fail of all. Teaching a baby to work the stripper pole? Priceless.
It's A Small World After All
Among the variety of people we saw at the movie theater tonight, my favorite was probably Bobby - an old friend from my hometown. What a small world to run into him randomly in a theater as he was leaving. We ended up hanging out and going to eat at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, as apparently that's the place to go when you're "L.A." like I am now (ha!). It was delish. We had a great time. 
The best part is that Bobby started working as a P.A. many years ago (what I'm doing now) and said I'm on the exact right path I should be on. He made me feel much better about not having a full-time job right away. 
Pinky's Fandance - Geoff Stults
Adam and I spent some time at The Grove today and within five minutes both spotted Geoff Stults walking by. Geoff has starred on a ton of shows, such as Seventh Heaven and October Road, and was recently in She's Out Of My League.
When I asked him for a picture, his immediate response was, "Absolutely!" I think he should give Mykelti a call and give him some tips on how to treat the public.
Trent is the New Pink
Once upon a time, many years ago, I started reading a blog written by a school teacher named Trent in Detroit, Michigan. His blog (http://www.pinkisthenewblog.com/) covered everything from entertainment to movie reviews and always shared something from his personal life as well. I've enjoyed learning about him and watching him over the years as he quit his teaching job, fell in love, moved to California, and now writes the blog full-time.
I've always wanted to meet Trent and tonight I saw him at a movie theater. I was so excited! Trent is as sweet as can be and I'm stoked to finally get to meet the man I've read so much about. :)

Jamie Lee Curtis Hates Me
Just in case you were wondering, Jamie Lee Curtis is possibly taking out a restraining order against me as we speak. Yes, that's right, this woman hates me because, as sometimes happens, I was a crazy person when I met her tonight. As we've previously discussed, there are certain celebrities who cause me to lose my mind. I don't know why this happens, it just does. I open my mouth and idiocy ensues. Ask Heidi. She had to witness it with Josh Radnor. Hideous display.
Tonight we happened upon Jamie Lee coming out of a movie. As she doesn't exactly have the best reputation for being nice to fans (I know, it surprised me, too), I wanted to be relatable to her and get her attention when it looked like she might get into her car to flee. I also happen to love Activia yogurt for which (in case you've been living under a rock) she's the spokesperson for. When I thought she was going to turn and walk away, I said, in *perhaps* an upper-case voice, "We drink Activia yogurt because of YOU!!!" Yes, I know. I'm blushing just typing it. As soon as the words were out of my mouth, I knew it was a mis-step. When she widened her eyes the size of saucers and took a step backwards as if to say get this psycho-path away from me, I knew I was done for. The cops were probably on their way. It wasn't going to be pretty.
Somehow with a little (OK, a lot of) coercion, the photo opportunity wasn't entirely wasted. It's a miracle I wasn't arrested. Of course, my friends can't stop talking about how much I terrified Jamie Lee Curtis, but no matter. A picture still happened, so all is well in the world. :)

Pinky's Fandance - Jack Coleman
I know what you're thinking, but I promise it didn't happen this time. I didn't have to use Phoenix as a pawn to get Jack Coleman to take a picture (unlike Katherine McPhee, whom we discussed yesterday). 
Jack played the dad (or the HRG) on the TV shows Heroes, and was probably the only person Phoenix actually recognized on our big adventure to Hollywood.

An Open Letter to Mykelti Williamson
To: Mykelti (or however you pronounce that):
I'm not sure you know, but no one has seen you onscreen in a very long time. In fact, the last time I remember seeing you at all was on Forrest Gump when you played Bubba. Do you know how many years ago that was? That's right. A long time ago.
Here's the thing: If someone asks you to take a picture with them: TAKE IT. Tonight my friend asked you for a picture and, even though he knew the movie and your character's name in the movie, he didn't remember your first name exactly. You know what? It happens. I know your first name, but I don't care. Who could pronounce it anyway? When he asked you for a picture, instead of being courteous and gracious (and grateful that anyone even remembers your stupid face), you asked him if he knew your name. When he stalled, you said, "Peace out" and walked away. CLASS-LESS.
Please get over yourself and try to remember that the world will still rotate without your big, fat head in it. No one gives a crap about you anyway. Stop being a prick.

A Day in Hollywood with Phoenix
There was a premiere in Hollywood today for the new movie Cats and Dogs and I thought it'd be fun to take one or a few of the kids to the premiere. The boys ended up staying home, but I got to take Phoenix with me (after warning her of the long day, hot sun, and possibly boring periods of time surrounded by a ton of people). We had a great time. We picked up my friend Adam (who's finally back in town!) and spent the day going from event to event and stopping to eat at El Coyote in the middle of the chaos. She made sure to get all dressed up in her fanciest dress so that she was "Hollywood Ready." The picture to the right is her in front of the Hollywood sign (way in the background). Could she be any cuter?
