I Want To Haz This
Holy crap. I'm in love. I've been watching my friend Kim's Instagram for the past week as she posts all these amazing craft projects. Finally, I was like, "Please teach me how to do that." Because, basically, I loved every single thing she did.
Turns out her magical tool is called Silhouette Cameo and after a little research I've decided it's my Next Big Thing. Yep, folks, I've got a birthday coming up, and I foresee this machine in my near future (hopefully).
Look at all the cool stuff it can do! It's better than stickers. It's better than a label maker. And it's even better than my wooden stamps!
I WANT TO HAZ ALL OF IT!!!
In the future, if you ever want to send your favorite blogger a treat, please send me accessories/add ons/kits for the Silhouette Cameo.
Hey, it never hurts to ask. And, really, I'm just helping YOU out by telling you what I need. AND I DESPERATELY NEED TO HAZ THIS. Thank you in advance for the myriad of goodies about to be bestowed (she says, sarcastically, yet hopefully...).
Pinky's Fandance - Malcolm McDowell
Don't mind the girl's face behind me. She was just mad because I asked Malcolm for a picture after she said no (which is why I usually go directly to the actors and ask them for permission for pics - they're the ones who should be deciding anyway).
I've wanted to meet Malcolm for what seems like forever, so being able to do so right before my first screening of A Clockwork Orange was pretty magical. He was delightful onstage and I was thrilled to meet him.
A Clockwork Orange Screening
Last night Keith and I attended a screening of A Clockwork Orange which was preceeded by a Q&A with the man himself, Malcolm McDowell, which was moderated by the amazing Gary Oldman.
This was my first time seeing the film and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. My husband is a HUGE fan - in fact, it's the very first movie he saw in a theater when he was three. So, he was like a little kid in a candy store. Seeing his face watching the Q&A was thrilling for me - I loved seeing how excited he was.
We were way up in the balcony, so please forgive my crappy iPhone photo of the Q&A. Pretend you can see them.
After the film, Keith got to sit in a pod! And hang out with a droog!
Then we both decided to hang with a droog. They were everywhere!
Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the film - especially seeing it on a large screen for the first time. It was a visual masterpiece and not quite as violent as I'd anticipated. Great night all around!
Celebrity Wrap Up - Friday Edition
Ew. No. Jennifer Love Hewitt does NOT need to be blonde. Brown is MUCH better on her. And, Jenna, we get it. You're preggers. No need to highlight the tummy with your hand. No one thought you'd just put on some weight. Move along. The Office is over.
JUST. SING.
Did Beyonce just time travel back from the '80s to attend a basketball game?
Is her dress made out of cut up newspapers? I don't really understand this couple, but, then again, I guess I don't really need to. That's all I have to say about that.

Current Level: 539
I'm way too happy about this, but Candy Crush has added more levels. I started at 531 yesterday and am already at level 539 (I'm addicted, remember?).
Hooray for more Candy Crush! Three cheers! Hip hip hooray!
Pinky's Fandance - Mary McDonough
Mary McDonough starred on The Waltons as Erin Waltons for a long time. She's friends with Keith and we even invited her to our wedding (sadly, she couldn't come).
Luckily, I was still able to meet her at the Ex-Child Actor's get together we attended last month. She's such a sweetheart! She was really great.
Breakdown
Yesterday we both had to miss work because our stupid old Energizer bunny of a car has decided to stop working. Slowly but surely it's knocking things out one at a time...First, the battery. Then, the tires.
This time it was the spark plugs (the original ones from 256,000 miles ago, I should add) that all went out at once. Although it was a fairly minor fix (thank goodness), when it started sputtering, it felt a lot worse than that. We weren't even sure we'd make it to the mechanic. Now, sadly, we also need brakes. Great. That should be a fun little chunk of money down the drain. On the plus side, at least our "Check Engine Light" is finally off - it's been on for the past year! UGH.
Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition
Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
That's odd. She doesn't look blind...and yet her outfit would say otherwise. Yo, TC - cut your hair, man. You're looking shabby.
I think we can all agree that whoever designed the "tuxedo" shirt needs to be shot immediately. And then all those horrible shirts need to be burned and destroyed ASAP.
Ooooh, that dress is pretty. I don't even care that it looks like a craft project of some sort.
Oh, America. I simply cannot pledge allegiance to this atrocity. Go home and change. You look ridiculous.
Pinky's Fandance, Birthday Edition - Ian Ziering
If you can believe it, Steve Sanders Ian Ziering turned the big 5-0 on Sunday. 50! Wasn't he just barely graduating from West Bev?
When I was younger, 50 seemed SOOOOOOO old and now it seems like people are turning 50 and 40 all around me. Make the time slow down already! It's going too fast!
Casino Night
We spent most of the weekend up the coast attending our friend's fundraiser for their school's Booster Club.
Sadly, we did not win big.We did, however, get to partake in some of the World's Best Hamburgers. So, there's an upside.
Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition
Hello and welcome to Wednesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Holy cuteness, Johnny! Be still my heart. Yowsa. Now THAT'S how you dress after a break-up. Well done, Katy.
I don't care if it's your birthday, Gaga, that will NEVER be acceptable.
Speaking of things that are horrible, how did Mariah let him out of the house like that?!?!?!
Nice bathrobe.
