Awesome Pink Day Sign

For the weekly team meeting at work on Friday, I threw a little Pink party in honor of the upcoming Pink Day.

We also came up with this awesome sign for our team - get it, we're the Special Effects department and we incorporated it into the slogan? I love it! Plus, there are even some special effects in the hearts - a fire effect, a water effect, and a laser effect. Love it!

Pinky's Fandance - Larry Thomas

"No soup for you!" Anyone who watched Seinfeld will know who Larry Thomas is - he played the "Soup Nazi" on the program. 

While he didn't offer me any soup when we met, he was very nice. It kind of took everything out of me not to say, "No soup for you!" but I resisted. Wahoo!

See This: Warm Bodies

While the zombie thing may or may not be getting a little saturated, I've been totally wanting to see Warm Bodies since I started seeing the trailers on TV.

Since I love both Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer, I pretty much knew I'd enjoy it if it was terrible.

Of course, it wasn't terrible. It was sweet and cute. Sure, it's not going to win any Oscars or change the world in any way, but it's a fun little story that'll bring a smile to your face. Plus, anytime you can stare into  Nicholas' bright blue eyes is a good day! :)

Rent This: Celeste and Jesse Forever

I love getting caught up on Sundance movies I was unable to see at the festival - especially ones that had huge buzz. Celeste and Jesse Forever had huge buzz at the festival last year and I've been wanting to see it ever since.

I loved this movie - it was a sweet romantic comedy about a couple divorcing that remain the best of friends. It had a great supporting cast, funny, touching moments, and an entertaining story. Check it out when you get a chance.

Pinky's Fandance - Adrian Zmed

At the last Hollywood Show, there was a Grease 2 reunion with the guys who played the T-Birds on the movie. 

I remember Adrian Zmed from Grease 2, as well as T.J. Hooker. Luckily I caught him right before he was leaving.

Nobody Likes Me, Everybody Hates Me...

I don't know what's going on with me right now, but I'm just sad. Chalk it up to feeling excluded, unloved, what have you, but I feel like the last kid getting picked on the schoolyard.

So, I found out that two of my good friends from high school had a big party for their 40th last night. Over the past few weeks, three different people have asked me if I was going, but as far as I know, I wasn't invited. So, I didn't go. Now, I'm sure I could've gone; I'm sure I could've called up either person and said, "WTF - why wasn't I invited?" but should I really have to? That's not the way I want to be invited somewhere.

Last night on FB I saw all these people talking about it and a list of all the people who went. And I was suddenly the least popular person in the world with no friends that no one likes. Yes, of course I know that's not true. I'm incredibly lucky for all the amazing people and experiences in my life. But this hurt my feelings - especially coupled with Crush being a dumb boy and not wanting to hang out with me. I really need to stop liking that boy. It's really getting ridiculous now. I'm sure in time I'll be fine. But right now I'm just sad.

Pinky's Fandance - Dennis Haskins

As a long ago fan of Saved by the Bell, I've always wanted to meet Mr. Belding Dennis Haskins. Although I do follow him on Twitter (don't judge me), I'd only seen him once before at the Hollywood Show. Sadly, he was charging like $30 for a picture and that's just a *wee* bit too much for Mr. Belding.

So, it was a banner day on Saturday when I happened to see Dennis crossing the street on Hollywood Blvd. at the same time I was leaving the LA Celebrity Show. Score! Dennis was SO nice. In fact, after I tweeted him a thank you and our picture (sorry it looks cut off below from the screenshot I took), he tweeted back , "Wow! Great pic!" So cool! Thanks, Dennis!

Instant Hotness, Just Add Glasses

It's no secret that I love a man in glasses; I have such a nerd fetish it's ridiculous. Add glasses to just about anyone and I'm probably going to be attracted to them. Well, within reason. You get my point.

My true love, Ricky Schroder, tweeted out this picture last night. YOWSA! Sleeping Ricky + black / white picture + glasses = Pinky's in love.

One Week Until Pink Day

As you're probably aware, Valentine's Day is my FAVORITE holiday ever. No, not because of all that love garbage (I spit on love! I spit on it, I say!), but because it's pretty much the only holiday where everything is predominantly PINK. Sure, Easter's got some pastels, but it's the entire range of pastels. Valentine's, however, has only PINK and red. But I choose to only see the pink. Well, that's not really new. I choose to see only the pink in every situation....

This morning my boss asked me what it was about the color pink that I loved so much. I said it just makes me happy. He countered with the fact that he's seen me be less-than-happy while still being surrounded by the color, which is probably true. But, it doesn't change the fact that the color soothes me, brings a smile to my face, and always draws me in. Why wouldn't I celebrate pink day? Long story short, I *may* or *may not* have gone totally Valentine's crazy this year (read: I totally lost my pink shizz). Even my team at work is going to get to behold the amazing holiday that is PINK day. I'm sure my primarily male team is going to LOVE it. Love it, I say. Love it!
