Stop Yer Bitchin' Already

So, there's someone I work with who happens to be pissed off about something. Now, believe me, I understand being pissed off at someone, especially at work, but at some point you have got to STOP YER BITCHIN'. This person cannot stop talking about it and has been for the past several days. First thing this morning, this person is right at my desk bitching away (and it has nothing to do with me, nor do I care). I just stared straight ahead the whole time thinking, "And this has to do with me how???" I don't think any work is being done, just constant complaining about the way something was done. The entire time I've been blogging, this person has been talking about it. In fact, the weekend was probably spent milling about it and stewing about it. Who wants to think about work or stupid people at home during the weekend? I'm about to get a muzzle out. I can't take much more of this. And yes, I've made this person's gender vague on purpose. :) Can't be too careful, you know.

Pinky's Fandance, Tuesday Edition

During my first year at Sundance, I struck up a conversation with Gabriel Olds on Main Street.I'd actually just watched Urbania, which he starred in, and so he was really recognizable to me. He was awesome. I just checked out www.imdb.com and this guy has guest-starred on everything under the sun. Good for him. He deserves it! In his imdb picture, he kind of looks like Ethan Hawke. Yum.

Pinky Lovejoy, Now Baggage Free

OK, well, maybe that's just wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be nice if we could all just pitch our baggage at a moment's notice? That would rule. Of course, I suppose I could be riddled with far worse baggage (8 kids, for example) than being a drama mama, but still. I'd like to be fresh as a daisy like I was a million years ago when I first joined the dating pool. Remember how pure those emotions were? Before you could jinx yourself or be jaded from disappointment? It's sad to think we can never really fully return to that innocent state. Yeah, I'm not sure what's bringing on this bout of nostalgia either....

Pinky's Fandance, Monday Edition

When I started at BYU, Ty Detmer had just won the Heisman trophy in football. I'm not a huge sports fan by any means, but it was still kind of cool. I ended up sitting next to his wife in my Fitness for Living class and we became friends (before I even knew who she was married to). Ty came to our class dressed up as Santa Claus around Christmas and I was able to get a picture with him, as well as some signed posters for my brothers.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Monday Edition

Hello and welcome to Monday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Apparently I can't seem to get enough of celebrities dressed up for Halloween....so here are a few more. Blake Lively looks adorable as a flight attendant. Love the wig.

I wonder how many children Christina Ricci terrified in this get-up?

Jessica Alba dressed up as Dora the Explorer is (dare I say it?) pretty cute. Can you imagine taking your kids trick or treating to the White House and having the President outside handing out candy? Where's his Halloween spirit, though? Even Michelle dressed up.

I never, ever envisioned Martha Stewart as the dress-up type. Wow.

Pinky's Fandance, Sunday Edition

Jerry Buss was (is?) the owner of the Lakers basketball team. I met him at a game about a million years ago when we were seated next to the VIP section. I'm not sure if we've discussed this, but I went to high school with a girl who was one of the Laker Girls and she'd hook us up with great seats. Unfortunately, I happened to drink way too much wine during the game (on an empty stomach - NOT a good combination) and every time I look at this picture, the only thing I can think about is the fact that immediately after we took it I fell down an entire flight of stairs. Graceful.

McMermaid

Before McP went out Trunk-or-Treating for Halloween, I made a stop at her place to see her dressed up in her super cute costume. As she's completely obsessed with Ariel from The Little Mermaid right now, it makes sense that she had to wear a Mermaid Princess dress. I wore my Pink Princess costume (while still experimenting with my hair) and McP loved my sceptor (in fact, I almost didn't get it back). We just had to take a picture dressed as Princesses. Too fun.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. As much as I'm digging Gwen Stefani's adorable costume, I think Gavin Rossdale's costume (I'm guessing he just went out as the World's Hottest Dad?) is the best ever.

Julia Stiles is awesome. I love that she chose to go as Marie Antoinette.Who knew that Halloween would be the one time of year that Christina Aguilera would actually wear clothes?Even though I don't really watch The Today Show, I have to admit I look forward to seeing what they're wearing for Halloween each year. They always have great costumes. My nephew would love these!

Who knew Mickey Rourke could actually do something to make himself look worse than usual?
