R.I.P. To Two Friends

This week we learned of the passing of two of our friends.

The first was George Perez, who co-starred with Keith in Toy Soldiers in 1991. George was so sweet and kind - very sad to learn of his passing.

The second was our friend, Ed, who was the fiance of our friend Jay in California. Ed lived in Florida and would often visit us at various shows we were doing. I'll miss his giant, happy smile and his exuberance for life.

R.I.P. James Vanderbeek

Man, this one surprised me! I mean, look, I knew he had cancer, but for some reason I thought he'd beat it. 

Heartbroken for his family and friends. Sending love and condolences to all who knew and loved him. He was a good guy and always very kind when I saw him.

Noooo!!!! Not Moira Rose!

So sad to hear of Catherine O'Hara's passing today at the young age of 71. I've been watching her comedic genius onscreen practically my whole life!

Such a talented, lovely person. Deepest sympathy going out to those who loved her.

R.I.P. Anthony Geary

I still remember how big Luke and Laura's wedding was on General Hospital back in the day, so losing Anthony Geary (who played Luke) is a sad one.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Daytime Emmys years ago and he was as nice as can be. Sending love and light to his family and friends.

R.I.P. Rob Reiner

What a horrible tragedy! Rob Reiner was beloved in the entertainment world for his contributions as an actor and a director. In fact, he directed one of my all-time fave films, When Harry Met Sally, and even had his mom in the film!

The manner in which he and his wife were killed was truly tragic and my heart goes out to all that loved him. R.I.P. Rob and Michele. Thank you for the entertainment!

One Year Without You

Today is the one year anniversary of our sweetest love, Sammy, crossing over the rainbow bridge in my arms on Thanksgiving last year.

Sammy was our ever-present companion, the love of our lives, and the center of our world. To say losing him shattered us (me especially) would be the understatement of the year. Just starting to feel like we could get another dog, although there will always be a Sammy-sized hole in my heart. Love you, boo!

R.I.P. Ozzy Osbourne

 Man, hard start to the week with all these deaths! My goodness.

Ozzy passed away at the age of 76. R.I.P. Ozzy - sending love to his family and friends.

R.I.P. Malcolm Jamal-Warner

Ouch! This one really hurts! Only 54 years young.....

R.I.P. Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Thanks for all the laughs!

R.I.P. Val Kilmer

Man, this one hurt. Growing up, Val Kilmer was the epitome of cool. Movies like Top Secret, Real Genius, and Top Gun really made him just HUGE in the '80s. 

We had the pleasure of meeting him several years ago after a screening of his incredible one-man play, Citizen Cane. He and Keith were also in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot together, although we didn't see him while filming. Only 65. So sad. What a loss. R.I.P. Val!

Today would've been our sweet Sammy's 14th birthday.

Two Months

Two months have gony by since our sweet little Sammy passed over the rainbow bridge. There's not a minute in the day where I'm not missing him like crazy.

Does this pain ever subside??

Heartbroken

We are completely and totally devastated at the loss of our sweet Sammy "Bubba" Rhodes.

He was the love of our lives and our world will never be the same. Please allow us time to grieve and I'll check in when I can. Right now, it's just kind of hard to get through the day. We love you, Sammy!

R.I.P. Teri Garr

So sad to learn of the passing of Teri Garr. Growing up, she was on just about everything and I loved watching her comedic chops.

Very sweet woman in person. R.I.P. Teri. Love going out to her family and friends.

R.I.P. Richard Simmons

Richard Simmons was such a lovely human being. He passed away last week when we were out of town and I haven't had the chance to properly memorialize him as I'd like.

I grew up watching him encourage people to be better, to lose weight, to be active, and he always seemed like someone you could be friends with.

When I first moved to LA, he was teaching a workout class in LA that my friend took me to and I had this amazing talk with Richard who just exuded so much love to everyone.

I'd first met him outside Jimmy Kimmel Live and he was as sweet as can be. The world is a little less bright without him in it. R.I.P. Richard. We miss you already.

Way Too Soon

I was going through Facebook to check up on an old roommate of mine recently when I discovered she'd sadly passed away a few months ago from a massive heart attack.

Now, we were friendly, but there wasn't a tight bond or anything. Still, it's very sad to hear about her passing, especially for her friends and family. R.I.P. Shelly.
 

Heartbreaking Loss

My heart is still heavy after hearing about Matthew Perry's death at the age of 54 this weekend. WAY TOO YOUNG! How devastating of a loss for his family and friends. 

I was lucky to meet Matthew a few times over the years - this was the better of the pictures. He was arriving for a Q&A for his show Go On and was in a great mood.

When Keith and I travel (which, as most people know, is A LOT), our comfort TV show in any city is Friends. It's a calming, welcome, and hysterical distraction from whatever level of exhaustion we happen to be feeling at the time. Perry's Chandler Bing is a big part of that. I

Before he hit big with Friends, I remember all the TV pilots Matthew was on because he always stood out to me. I enjoyed watching him and was glad when he finally found his big break. 

R.I.P. Matthew. You'll be missed.

R.I.P. Paul Reubens

Paul Reubens has been entertaining the masses for as long as I can remember. So many different characters, such a talented man. 

Very sad news today to hear of his passing from a long bout with cancer at the all-too-young age of 70. R.I.P. Paul. You will be missed!

So sad to hear about Cindy's passing. Laverne & Shirley was one of my favorite shows growing up - what an inspiration those ladies were. R.I.P. Cindy.
