Pinky's Fandance - Beau Wirick

So, last week we were waiting in line to pay our parking validation at a movie theater and noticed that Beau Wirick just happened to be standing right in front of us. Yes, I'll admit that I couldn't place what show we know him from, but I knew it was something we watch. Not wanting to let the opportunity pass us by, I asked him for a picture and decided I'd figure it out later. 

A few nights later, I'm watching The Middle and there he was! Score! He plays Sean Donahue on the show. Hooray! Love figuring stuff like that out. :)

Christmas Cards? Sent!

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love holiday cards. I love getting them, I love sending them, I love creating them. I love it all!

For the past too many years, I've made it a goal to get them out by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so that they're the first cards to arrive after Thanksgiving. I don't know why I put that pressure on myself....but, I do.

This year it was a hard deadline to meet and I'll admit to almost giving up and saying I wouldn't make it. Happily, I pulled it out at the last minute and we were at the post office early enough to get them out on Wednesday. Hooray! Doesn't Keith look excited?!? :)

Pinky's Fandance - Samira Wiley

One of the main reasons I left my Christmas cards last night was the chance to finally meet Samira Wiley (who played Poussey Washington on Orange is the New Black). Although I've met most of the cast, she eluded me and now that she's off the show, it felt like my last chance to meet her.

I'm telling you right now - this picture was HARD to get. I was thwarted at every turn and it was only by my sheer will and determination that I was able to place myself in her path to get the picture as she left. It was a mini miracle, I tell you. And thank heavens for that! It made the night justifiable now that I'll be up all night finishing up my stupid cards. Hooray!

Orange is the New Black Panel

Despite the fact that I should have been home addressing Christmas cards last night, we ventured out to the Hollywood Arclight for a Q&A and screening with some of the cast members from Orange is the New Black.

We love the show, so it was exciting to get to see the most recent finale again and hear questions answered from the actors.

On the panel were Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes), Dascha Polanco (Daya), Lea DeLaria (Big Boo), Samira Wiley (Poussey), Natasha Lyonne (Nicky), and Taylor Schilling (Piper).

It was interesting to hear their opinions and experiences from this gut-wrenching season.

They seem to really get along and love each other, which was also fun to see. The security, sadly, was ridiculous and held us captive inside the theater. So. Lame. Still, it was a great screening and I'm glad we were able to go.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Sammy Paws

This weekend we took Sammy to see Santa at the annual Santa Paws event in Ventura. I've taken him every year since he was born and I love how the pictures come out (and how it's the same Santa every year). 

If you asked Sammy how he liked it, however, he would say it was torture. Look at his sad face. Awww.

Here he was hoping no one saw him dressed like this.

He rejected our outpouring of love.

But at least he snuggled in for some loves.

Look at his sweet face. How can you resist it?

I love how he's looking at his daddy for help here.

Not getting what he was looking for, he then looks to mom for more help.

Finally, he settles in with the big man for some pictures.
