Pinky's Fandance - Amy Schumer

I've loved Amy Schumer ever since I saw her on Last Comic Standing a million years ago. I've followed her career through the years and love her new show Inside Amy Schumer.

Still, I'd never met her in person until yesterday when she was a guest on a talk show. As expected, she was super cool to fans (seriously if she wasn't I'd probably be devastated). So fun to see her!

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Wedding Location Secured!!!

Thank goodness, hallelujah! :) Our wedding location has finally been secured!! Wahoo! It's been quite tense over here in these parts as the final rush to get the contract signed and the money in was being setttled....but I'm happy to report that it's all been resolved and we have a place to get married AND have a reception.

Of course, the wedding itself will be on a beach....now we just need to decide on the chairs and decor (I do really like the look of these pictures though...)

This week marks four months until the Big Day....which means we only have to make approximately 4,983 more decisions. GAH!

Man, look at all that pink. It makes me so happy!

Pinky's Fandance - Mia Wasikowska

Mia Wasikowska is adorable and so talented. When I saw she was going to be at Sundance I seriously thought there was just no way we were going to be able to get a picture with her. I figured she'd be under such tight security that our chances were nil. 

Thankfully we caught her on an off-time when she was walking on Main St. Her people had us tuck away into a little area as to not draw attention to our pictures, but that was fine with me. As long as we got the pic, no problem at all. Thanks, Mia's people!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Hello and welcome to the Royal Edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.

I can't tell if I'm supposed to be impressed or horrified by Miss Lavender Dress. I mean, it's tragic, right? And I don't know why Pippa is wearing a couch. I thought she was better than that.

The girl in the center is Harry's girlfriend and apparently she's pleased as punch about it. The cousin on the left (Bearice? Eugenie? I know it's one of them) looks constipated. Perhaps wearing a swan hat is causing her concern.

Is Prince Wills contemplating the loss of his hairline? Or why he has to attend so many frigging weddings all the time?

The Other One (Beatrice, Eugenie...you know I have no idea which is why) seems to be rocking a tiny hat. Is it supposed to be so tiny?

Man, that is A LOT of stripes. Even the shoes are striped! Do you think her underwear has stripes, too? I bet it does.

Saturday Night Fun

Last night we headed into the city to celebrate our friend Ashley's 30th birthday at a real-life Speakeasy of all places. It was a late night (which started around 10:30pm and ended at dawn), but definitely filled with fun. I had no idea something like that even existed! 

Pinky's Fandance - Clu Gulager

Last week at the midnight screening of Weird Science, Keith and I ran into his old friend Clu Gulager with whom he worked with in a film (where he played Clu's son). 

Clu was the coolest guy to chat with and Keith told me I should get a picture because he was a legend from such films as The Return of the Living Dead, Hunter's Blood, and the TV show The Virginian. It was awesome to meet him.

Watch This: Behind the Candelabra

Last week we finally got caught up on some movies and had the chance to see the HBO special Behind the Candelabra starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.

The film is based on the autobiographical novel about the tempestuous six-year relationship between Liberace and his much younger lover, Scott Thorson. Everyone involved in the film did a spectacular job and it left me wanting to find out more about this relationship and read the whole book.  

Michael Douglas and Matt Damon were superb and I expect some awards coming their way when awards season starts.

Best of all? Rob Lowe's performance as Liberace's plastic surgeon was out of this world. Big kudos to him!

Um, I realize the cancellation of 90210 was rough, but what the heck happened to AnnaLyne McCord's face (or sense of style for that matter)???
