Pinky's Fandance - Dakota Fanning

After randomly meeting Elle Fanning last year at The Grove, I was really anxious to meet her sister, Dakota Fanning. I've heard both girls were really nice and after seeing Elle be ridiculously nice, I couldn't wait to meet Dakota.

Sure enough, Dakota was just as nice as I'd hoped. I loved that they both have the exact same kind of sunglasses, too. Adorable!

Home Again, Home Again Jiggity Jig

Sammy and I got home very, very late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning - however you'd like to look at it) after leaving Utah just in time to avoid the latest snow storm. As it was, we hit enough inclement weather to be annoying. Ugh.

This was Sammy shortly after I picked him up from Angie's (THANK YOU again, Ang!!! I cannot thank you enough for taking care of the boy while I played in Park City). I like that the look on his face is like, "Please get me out of this freezing cold white stuff STAT!".

Doctor Burke!

Man, just when I thought I had all my pics on my iPad, I realize that I'm missing a whole handful. I just spent a large part of the night sharing my pics with my mom only to realize there were a ton I missed showing her. Fail. 

One of these was a picture with Isaiah Washington, Jr. who played Dr. Burke on Grey's Anatomy. I love him! He was so much fun.

Home Cooked Meal

My last night at Sundance was spent with my mom, my step-dad, and my aunt and uncle. At first I wasn't stoked on the idea of a home-cooked meal, as I was thinking we'd go out to some yummy local cuisine, but it ended up being delicious and we had a lot of fun.

As I'm heading home tomorrow, it was nice to be able to see my mom and get some family time in. Tomorrow's going to be a looooong day!

I'm still not really up-to-date with the whole Instagram thing, but I do enjoy looking at everyone's Instagram pics. A few of my friends took some this week and posted them to Facebook. Super cute!

Sundance Besties

My #1 Sundance girl, Heidels, came up for her last hoorah today. Since everything dies down for the rest of the week, she usually only comes up through Monday, but made a special visit today while we *tried* for Steve Carrell (another fail...waaa waaaa). 

I really shouldn't complain after all the ridiculous success we've had this year (Toni Collette, Nicole Kidman, Keri Russell, Shia LeBeouf, Dave Grohl, and Matthew Goode just to name a few). The pictures are really, really awesome and I've been able to get pictures with people I've wanted to meet forever. I shouldn't be bitter. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Seriously. But, I'm also a wee bit disappointed that Ethan Hawke didn't show up (!!!) and Steve Carrell keeps eluding me. Sigh. BTW, I'm doing video reports for www.mikethefanboy.com, so if you'd like to watch my ridiculous video posts, by all means, please check them out. :)

Faux Grohl No More

One of the main things I wanted to get at Sundance for Crush (Wait. What? I think about Crush? That's odd) was a picture with Dave Grohl (one of his faves) and an autograph for him. For DAYS I've been searching for Dave only to see not one, not two, but at least THREE "Faux Grohls" around. It was getting so ridiculous we thought maybe he was paying people to walk around and look like him. :) 

I'm happy to announce that after days and days and days and effort spent searching for him, I FINALLY got a picture with him! I love how toothy he is. Of course, now that I have it, we saw him randomly walking the street later. TYPICAL, Universe. Typical.

I've even been carrying around this janky little autograph book in order to get his signature. Man, I'm a good wannabe girlfriend. Sheesh. :) LOL.

Pauly Shore RULES

It's no secret that my love for Pauly Shore is deep and true. I've had a crush on him since, well, ever, and he still cracks me up. I love following him on Twitter because he always posts pictures of people he meets (usually hot girls). 

Yesterday when we saw him on Main St. I told him how much I enjoyed his Twitter and he said we should snap a pic for Twitter and he'd post it. WHAT?!!? Mind. Blown. Sure enough, a few minutes later, there I was on his Twitter. How cool was that?!?! Can I just pretend for a second that I was a hot girl? :) Come on, I'll just pretend for a second...

We took a million pics, but this is the one he actually posted. He said he liked my outfit. It was probably just the hat. It's been killing all week.

Sammy's Surgery

Big props to my dear friend Angie for not only watching my sweet little puppy, Sammy, while I've been here, but also for taking him in to get fixed while we're here. I know, I know, it should've been done already, but something always seeemed to come up. Since she was having her dog done, as well, it made sense to have them done together and then they could recover together too.

While I knew it was happening, I've been so busy/tired here that I totally and completely forgot that it was going on. BAD MOTHER. On the flip side, I was thinking about him way more than usual yesterday, so I must've known on some level. Last night I made the trip down the hill to see my boy and make sure he was OK.

Reunited and it feels so good! Look at his cute little face. LOVE HIM.

He seemed completely fine and dandy. I can't thank Angie enough for all of her help. Love you! :)

Zzzzzzz

While I realize this is the same point of the Festival where I hit the wall every year, I feel like the cold seems to be making it worse. I am SO freaking tired. Like, I uploaded my pics last night and immediately fell asleep. With the lights on. At my computer. In my clothes. With nothing put away. My last thought was, "I'll just close my eyes for a second" and the next thing I knew it was 6 a.m. FAIL.

Tonight I have a late night shift (BOO!) and the rest of the week I work either 4-8, 12-4, or 8-noon. So, if anyone would like to come up to Park City and hang out, let's do it! :) Would love to see some friends.

One Out Of Three Isn't Bad

I can't even tell you how much I love Matthew Goode. He is delightful and beautiful and his accent alone makes me want to bear his children.

As I'm pretty sure he lives overseas, I never thought I'd have the chance to meet him. Coming into the Festival, I had three Top Goals: Ethan Hawke, Steve Carrell, and Matthew Goode. Well, one out of three isn't bad, right?

I'm SO Tired

Will try to blog tomorrow, but tonight I'm just WAY too tired.

Because he didn't care for our "guerilla" style of picture taking, Tony Danza insisted on all of us posing together and having someone else take the picture. Fine. Whatever.

Considering he shot me down THREE times in one night in LA once, I was just happy to finally get a picture with him. Who's the boss now, Tony? :)

In the middle of Sundance fun today, I had some extra special visitors - McFamily!

Can you believe how gorgeous and beautiful little McP has turned out to be? I mean, I knew she was going to be a looker, but my goodness. Let's get this girl in the movies!
