Pinky's Fandance Best of '12 - Ricky Gervais

As a longtime fan of Ricky Gervais, I was bound and determined to meet him this year. It began with a quest in January, but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet him until September. However, once I did, I saw him back to back - once while he was running and once at the Emmys!

Not knowing how he'd be, I was thrilled to discover that he's incredibly nice. I adore him! Funny and handsame AND nice? Triple threat!

Got My Hair Did

There are very few things in life more satisfying than getting a much needed cut, color, and wax. I feel like a new woman (and I finally forgave my hairdresser for abandoning me at the Emmys, so that's good).

Add this to my fun new dresses and it's like I'm a new woman! :) Wahoo!

What's this? Hilary has a new man? What happened to the agent? When did this happen? Why wasn't I notified? Man, she didn't even call me to tell me? I thought we were BFFs. I'm crushed.

Gearing Up For Sundance

Now that the holidays are over, we can focus on what's really important (at least in the Land of Pink anyway): Sundance.

With only a few short weeks to prepare, it's time to really start getting organized and situated with what to bring and what I still need to buy. As I received a good little wad of cash for Christmas (thanks Mom, thanks Dad), I ventured out to the mall yesterday (big mistake on the day after Christmas) hoping to find some deals.

First purchase? These fancy little shoes which are lined with fur to keep my feet extra toasty.

Normally they were $79.99, but I got them for the low low price of $19.99. SCORE!

Now if there's anything I've learned in my 11 years at Sundance, is that it's all about the hat. The rest of your outfit? No one cares; you're all bundled up and hidden anyway. But the hat? The hat is where it's at. I've long been in search of a fun little animal hat that was pink, but not some sort of pig (for obvious reasons) and I found a cute little pink cat hat. Yay!

The best find might have been this trio of goodness - a Hello Kitty hat, scarf, AND gloves. The price tag showed $28 and I totally would've paid $28 for it....except, get this, it was only (wait for it...) $7! How could I pass that up? I should've bought two!

Finally, my last goody to be found in the store (aside my super cute dresses that I'll have to model at a later date) was this "formal" Hello Kitty hat - you know, for when I need to jazz things up a bit. Don't be jealous.

Pinky's Fandance Best of '12 - James Spader

By far, one of the best surprises of the year was running into James Spader coming out of a movie theater. Lindsay and I were SO surprised we could hardly stand it. I've loved James since I first saw him onscreen and I especially loved his performance as Stef on Pretty in Pink, so I was thrilled to finally get a chance to meet him.

Not knowing how he'd be, it was a risky move to catch up to him leaving and ask for a picture, but I had to at least try. Thankfully, I think he could tell we were genuine fans who were just out of our mind excited to mee him and he agreed to the picture. Hooray! Love him!

Now THAT'S A Good Name

Congratulations going out to Kate Winslet who secretly married her longtime beau Ned ROCKNROLL earlier this month. Are you freaking kidding me? His actual name is ROCKNROLL? That's a totally baller name (and if you notice, he's even got it on his shirt below!).

Dude, I'd marry him, too. Just so I could be Pinky Lovejoy Rocknroll. And then every time you said my name, you'd have to throw up some weird hand signs just to try to be as cool. :)

Grinch, Thy Name is Pink

I don't know what my problem is. For as festive and bright I seem to be in the weeks leading up to Christmas, I have to admit that when the day actually comes around, I'm a bit of a grumpy Grinch. All I want to do is sleep and for everything to be over. Am I tired by then? Am I sick of all the merriment?

I was trying to put my finger on it yesterday (during my amazingly long afternoon nap) and I realized two things: 1) My dear friend "Grandma" Gene passed away on Christmas day and 2) I got engaged on Christmas Eve. Two strikes in the negative column right there.

Add to that the fact that it's pretty much a family holiday and while, of course, I have family that I love, I don't have the "traditional" family - you know, the husband, kids, the whole nine yards. Maybe I never will. Perhaps I should just start going on exotic tropical vacations during this time? Maybe that will cheer me up?

Lest you think I only feature boys in my Best of '12 pics, I present the illustrious and adorable Jenna Elfman.

I've wanted to meet her for SO long and I'm happy to report that our meeting did not disappoint. I still can't get over how she said, "Pinky!" when she saw me. Too freaking cool.

I love how my iPhone background is the super hot and delicious Chord Overstreet. Now that I'm getting alerts to certain Twitter accounts (Chord's being one of them), I get notifications sent to my phone.

This one made me laugh because, combined with his picture, it kind of looks like he's talking to me. Just let me have it. I don't ask for much.

Top Five Christmas Comics of the Day

Family Christmas

I don't seem to have taken nearly enough pictures this Christmas. In fact, I barely took any.

My mom came to visit last week on a pre-Christmas visit. We had a good time shopping and hanging out (that is, when she and my sister ceased having a roast of me - I'm not sure how that got started).

I know what you're thinking - you just posted pics with Brad Pitt and George Clooney...now you're throwing Corin Nemec in the same class? Yes, I am. You see, to me, Corin Nemec is George Clooney and Brad Pitt. I love him. I loved him as Parker Lewis and I love him to this day.
