Dinner with Friends

My good friend Jenny and her hubby were in town, so we grabbed a bite with them last week.

It was a really windy night, but we all had a really nice time. Always great to see friends!

I couldn't stop taking pictures of these beautiful flowers the other week. So gorgeous!

Deep Dish for the WIN!!!

Our amazing friend Melanie surprised us with a box filled with deep dish Chicago pizzas! Plus, a few days later we received some Garretts popcorn. SO delish!

Watch This: The Great

Oh my gosh, you guys, have you seen The Great on Hulu?? It is SPECTACULAR!!! What a fun show!

I'd heard it was really good, but had no idea just how good until we started watching it this week. What a hoot! The show stars Elle Fanning as Catherine the Great and her arranged marriage to Emperor Phillip (played by Nicholas Hoult). It is vulgar, campy, raunchy, hilarious, shocking, and fun. If you get a chance, check it out! 
 

Migraine City USA

Apologies for the delay in posts this week, but I've been nursing a horrendous migraine that still isn't completely gone.

On the plus side, we've been binge watching a bunch of great shows, so I'm going to share about those.

The Tree is Up!

We put up our tree this weekend! So stoked! Definitely earlier than usual - even before December! Score!

Flowers in Bloom

Keith planted this super cool plant and it flowered the other day. How gorgeous are the flowers? 

They seem to bloom quickly and then disappear almost as fast as they appeared, but not before changing colors. So cool!
 

Eggnog French Toast

We tried eggnog french toast this weekend and it was so delicious!

Definitely something we'll need to try again.

The Cards are Done, Man!

I almost forgot to mention that our cards were sent out last week, per tradition.

Since we're not seeing our co-workers, we had to mail out a bit more than usual....over 350 in the mail!

Such a relief to get these out! Yay!

Thanksgiving Fun

Normally we go to this awesome buffet on Thanksgiving, but since things are a bit different this year, we went "old school" and my sister cooked a great meal.

It was so nice to see our oldest nephew, Spens, and get to spend some time with him.
