I found this really cool art piece online the other day while searching for pictures of Jackie Coogan to use at our Coogan Centennial in a few weeks (which is a celebration of Jackie's life on his 100th birthday. More details to come). 

I just love this piece. So fun and unique.

Pinky's Fandance - Ben Lawson

Ben Lawson was on the short-lived series The Deep End and has a lovely British accent.

Seeing him was a bright spot during the otherwise failure of a night I had the other day. Sometimes when there are too many things going on at once, you make poor decisions. I seemed to make all the wrong decisions that day. Oh, well. Moving on.

Worst. Headache. Ever.

Yesterday I woke up with quite possibly the worst headache I've ever had in my life (which, let's face it, is saying A LOT). Now, I've had some doozies in my day, including migraines that lasted for an inordinate amount of time, but yesterdays topped them all.

Although I tried to work, that didn't quite pan out, as staring at a computer screen only made things worse. I ended up in bed for pretty much the rest of the day.

No fun! Huge thanks to my sweet husband for always taking care of me - even when I'm a total mess.

Top Five LOL Cats of the Day

See This: Gone Girl

Although it's true that we had a perfectly lazy weekend, I told Keith the only thing I really wanted to do was see Gone Girl. So, first thing Saturday morning (to the discount showing, you know), off we went.

Ben Affleck is simply amazing in this film, as is Rosamund Pike. The movie takes its time setting everything up and then delivers twists and turns to keep you interested up until the very end.

While I'd never read the book, I did read spoilers, so I knew some of the twists. Still, this didn't take away from my enjoyment of the film at all. I loved it. It's creepy and mysterious and extremely well acted. Great job all around.

I made this collage featuring some of the actors with outstanding performances and then realized I have even more to add. Oh, well. This will have to do. If you get a chance, go see it!

Pinky's Fandance - Joe Turkel

As I've mentioned before, I always love seeing my husband fanboy out over someone he loves and when we were at a recent convention, he totally lost his mind over Joe Turkel. 

Joe has the distinct honor of being one of the only people to ever have worked with Stanley Kubrick in three different films and he was a hoot to sit and talk to. He regaled us with stories from the set and signed a great photo for Keith. He was delightful. Such a great experience.

Manwich....Yum....

Last night Keith made us a delicious Sunday dinner of Manwich. Yes, you heard me correctly.

Although my mom made this dish many times while we were growing up, it's been a really long time since I've had it. But when we were doing our grocery shopping on Saturday, it just sounded delightful.

And it was. Sometimes, Manwich just hits the spot. Mmmmmmm.

Pinky's Fandance - Tara Reid

While I was super excited to finally meet Tara Reid (as I've already met a bunch of the cast members from American Pie and am now only missing Alyson Hannigan), I didn't realize that her bending over was going to look like such a faux pas in the pic. Oops.

Sorry, Tara. I had no idea that was happening. On the plus side, her necklace is awesome! :)

Just in case you were wondering, this totally melted my little pink heart. My niece, Phoenix, got a new cell phone and needed a case. We found one on eBay for $5 and I had some Paypal credit, so I ordered it for her. This is what she texted me.

Pinky's Fandance - Erich Anderson

I love that in the middle of a horror convention, I found the guy who played Felicity's dad. So random.

We ended up chatting with Erich for a long time. He was so cool! Really enjoyed meeting him.
