Happy Birthday, Adam!

My brother-in-law, Adam, had a birthday this weekend and we celebrated with some German chocolate cake. Yum!

I love the yellow dress so much because I'm pretty sure she recycled it from the Emmys last year. See that, people, stars are just like us! They recycle dresses. :)

I don't know what I think about this. I don't hate it, but I just feel like she could have done better.

Top Three Things From Gifting Suite

We got so much great stuff the other day at the gifting suite, but my fave items are right here:

In no particular order, we have this amazing pink cuff bracelet...

A mini PAK which holds EVERY little thing you can imagine. It's a lifesaver!

And, of course, this gorgeous necklace with all the colors. So fun to get to attend the event for such a great cause. I'll have to find the websites for the stuff and let you know how you can check it out, too.

Pinky's Fandance - IM5

This band is called IM5.

From the looks of this publicity shot, they are miniature little Ken dolls.

Here they are with me at the Wounded Warriors event (the gifting suite) the other day. Of course, I would have preferred a pic with another band sporting a number in their name (ahem....1D....), but I'm still stoked on my pic with the whole band. Score!

Blonde Moment

Last week I had a total blonde moment when I was making tea. Notice anything missing from my cup?

Yep, that's right....the TEA! Funny that I can still have blonde moments even when I'm rocking the pink hair!

Rent This: The Lone Ranger

Although it didn't have great ratings, we still wanted to check out The Lone Ranger for ourselves and see what all the initial fuss was about.

I am SO glad we did! What a fun fun fun film! We seriously laughed so hard - Johnny Depp was extraordinary and we just had a blast watching it. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you do. By the time the "Lone Ranger" music comes on, you're rooting for him! Check it out!

Pinky's Fandance - Griffin Gluck

Griffin Gluck was the little boy on Just Go With It and I simply could not place him when we first saw him at the Oscar gifting suite yesterday. Still, I knew I'd figure it out later, so I had to get my picture with him while i had the chance.

Griffin was very cool and seemed happy as a clam to pose. Isn't his hat cool? We got one of those, too. Fun!

R.I.P. Car Battery

I'd been looking forward to this past Friday for weeks after learning that Keith and I would be attending an Oscar gifting suite (!). As the time got closer, I should have expected something to go wrong. I kind of thought it'd just be the neverending rain, but I was wrong. It was my car battery, which decided to die an hour before we were scheduled to leave. Of course it did. Why wouldn't it?

Thankfully, I've got great friends, and with a few helpful bodies we were able to get a ride to the auto store and some tools and extra hands to change the battery. Mission accomplished! We were only slightly late to the event, but it could have been so much worse. Considering it was my original car battery from 11 years ago and I have over 265,000 miles on my car, I think it did pretty well!
