Growing up, my mom would leave a Precious Moments figurine in our room on every birthday that had our age on it. We collected these figures and had them all lined up on our shelves. I think they stopped doing the ages at 16 (or was it 18)? Either way, I loved this tradition and looked forward to receiving my figurine every birthday.

Coincidentally, Precious Moments just came out with a line of figurines that are based on The Breakfast Club (!!!). I'm DYING! You can even buy the locker. I LOVE them! How nice of them to time that with my upcoming birthday. LOL.

Pinky's Fandance - Nia Peeples

As someone who watched FAME religiously growing up, it was a really big deal to finally meet the beautiful and talented Nia Peeples.

In fact, it was pretty much the only reason I got out of bed and ventured out to the Hollywood Show last weekend. Nia was someone who couldn't be missed!

She was such a sweetheart - loved meeting her!

Pinky's Fandance - Judson Mills

So, during my first marriage a million years ago, my ex-husband used to love the show Walker, Texas Ranger and watched it all the time. At first I didn't understand the show at all and would totally "hate watch" it, but eventually it grew on me and we'd watch it together.

At the Hollywood Show this weekend, they had a Walker, Texas Ranger reunion and it took everything in me not to pay to meet all of the cast members. Judson Mills was one of my faves (along with Nia Peeples), so I had to meet them. Super cool guy! Very charismatic.

This picture came up as a memory today and I love it so much.

Our little sweetie pie is having a hard day since they're putting on a new roof at our house and it's super loud and annoying. Poor little thing was shaking when I left - wish I could've stayed home and protected him all day!

Quick Visit to the Hollywood Show

On Saturday morning, I got up early and Keith helped me try this new pink coloring in my hair.

This picture was to try and show it off. Sadly, it still doesn't cover up all my grays, so I'm going to have to do something else. Boo.

While at the show, I ran into our fun friend Rodney Allen Rippy. Such a happy guy!

I also saw our dear friend Jeremy Miller who we haven't seen in forever.

Oh, yeah, and I met a robot. Warning, Will Robinson! Warning!

Pinky's Fandance - Tiffany Haddish

Ever since we saw Tiffany Haddish steal EVERY single scene in Girls Trip I've been on a mission to meet her. We watched her stand-up comedy special, watch her TV show (The Last O.G. with Tracy Morgan) and basically just love to support anything she does (except how do I not have her book? I'm going to need to look into that).

Going into this event, I was NERVOUS. Like, stomach flipping, couldn't sit still, pacing around nervous. I was so excited about the chance to meet both Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish in the same place! I had no idea how they'd be in person, but I was crossing my fingers they'd be super fan friendly.

I don't know why I even doubted them because they both far exceeded all of my expectations. Tiffany was hysterical, sweet, lovely, and fun. She had the whole room laughing during the Q&A.

We were going to do a video here, so she was talking. Excuse the less than perfect pose (but you can see her smiling above). The video can be seen on my Instagram @pinkylovejoycoogan. Thank you, Tiffany, for being so kind and fan friendly! You just made some fans for life! OK, fine, we already were, but even more so now!

The Crown Event

I spent Friday night at the FYC event for The Crown and actually really enjoyed the episode they screened for us. I'd watched several episodes of the first season when it came out, but then kinda grew tired of it and have never continued. Perhaps I should revisit that.

The panel was comprised of the show creator, Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby, and the costumer.

Someone else was supposed to be there, but apparently he was a no show.

Full disclosure: I was transfixed by the costumer. Did she cut her hair using a bowl? Why was she wearing a parachute made into a jumpsuit? I mean, one would think she'd have better taste in clothes.

Still, the reception was nice and the cast mingled, so all in all it was a lovely evening.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

This outfit is crackers, right? She's still insanely talented though. Her new album is amazing.
