No trip up the coast would be complete without a trip to our beloved Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill for Sunday brunch. My mouth just watered thinking about it!

Pinky's Fandance Redux - Vincent Rodriguez III

Vincent Rodriguez III plays Josh Chan on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and I've been lucky to meet him several times over the past few years. 

This time we decided to have one nice picture....

And one where it looks like we're messing it up on purpose. I love it! Love when celebs are open to trying new stuff.

R.I.P. Jon

A longtime and dear friend of our family passed away last week and the funeral services were held in the middle of our vacation.

While we probably would have driven up from LA anyway, we only had to drive a little over an hour to make the service.

It was a beautiful day filled with many familiar faces we haven't seen in a really long time.

I loved how they decorated everything - only using Jon's most favorite things.

Top Five There I Fixed Its of the Day

Manta Ray Restaurant San Simeon

A few years ago we stumbled upon a delicious restaurant in San Simeon called Manta Ray. We've since been back a few times and always find it to have very good food.

The service, however, is pretty sub-par. This time especially was pretty dreadful and there was only one other patron in the restaurant! You'd think we'd have really good service, not the other way around.

We were also celebrating our anniversary and they did nothing for it aside from saying Happy Anniversary. What restaurant pulls that? Disappointed to say the least.

 At least the food was good!

While we did have to pose with their cheesy decorations on our way out, we were pretty annoyed in this picture. Not sure we'll be back, but it sure is good!

Pinky's Fandance - Natalie Alyn Lind

I love Natalie on The Goldbergs, so it was awesome to finally meet her in person.

What a sweetheart! She was really cool to the waiting fans. Fun fact: her sister, Alyvia, was the adorable little girl in the Dolly Parton Christmas movie. Love her, too! Talented family!

New Friend

We made a new friend in the Valentine aisle at Walmart last week.

This is Flossy the Flamingo (I have no idea why I just named her that, just go with me here). 

Did I mention that she lives with us now?

It's Hard To Be A Butterfly

There was a little trailer with some items to buy at the butterfly grove, so of course we had to check them out. This item, in particular, caught my eye. Wings!

Obviously, they were far more trouble than they were worth and no, we didn't buy them.

Pinky's Fandance - Chris Redd

As an added bonus the other night, in addition to meeting Sasheer Zamata, we were pleasantly surprised to discover Chris Redd on the line-up as well! Woot!

Chris joined SNL this year and has quickly become one of our favorite new additions. Plus, he was so freaking cool! So stoked.
