Early Family Birthday

We had a great time celebrating my birthday a smidge early with my family the other night.

First, went to pick up my mermaid cake from Ralphs, which, unfortunately, got mangled by their staff in some box incident. Thankfully, they ended up giving us the cake for free.

Next, we headed to Outback for a delicious dinner (thanks, Dad!). 

Finally, my sister's family joined us over at my dad's house and we tried to burn the house down with the millions of candles on the cake.

This was a special occasion for sure because normally my niece doesn't take pictures with her auntie. Teenagers are way too cool for that.

Pinky's Fandance - Micah Fowler

Micah Fowler plays JJ on the ABC sitcom Speechless and is an incredible actor.

He can do more with his facial expressions alone than most people can do with all the words in the world. So awesome to meet him!

Pinky's Fandance - Ellie Kemper

I've been really fortunate to have met Ellie Kemper several times throughout the years, but almost every time it happens, her hair is slicked back in a severe way. I love her so much and just wanted her hair to be relaxed and down in our picture.

Happily, when she showed up to the FYC event last week, her hair was down! I even told her how excited I was about it. She laughed. Love this show so much!

Wahoo! I've gotta say, I kind of like this birthday on a Saturday thing because it feels like my birthday has been going on all week! Fun for me!

The first amazing treat I received from my friend Genell at work was this kit called the "Pink Big" (or is it Big Pink?).  

As if the cover weren't cute enough, it contains all these fun items inside!

When I got home that night, I received these awesome goodies in the mail from my girl Rachelle.

I also received these adorable items from my girl Shmegan. Thanks, ladies!

Paley Center Fun

On our way to the Paley Center event the other night, we were trying to get a shot of my hair color, as I added some dark pink to the ends to jazz it up a bit (as it was a little too boring for my liking). 

This shot was super cute, but my hair is blowing too far and you can't really see the color.

Here was the sign at the event before they screened the most recent episode one day ahead of when it aired on TV.

My glasses are the cutest, right? I love them. I actually really dig my hair color now, too. If only it had a few streaks of blonde in it, it'd be perfect!

Pinky's Fandance - Mason Cook

It was great meeting Mason Cook the other night at the Speechless event. I wasn't sure who to go for first, since technically I'd already met Minnie, Kyla, and John Ross in the past. My priorities were Mason, Micah, and Cedric. As Cedric was right in front of me, I thought I should start there, but when everyone rushed the stage, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back to Mason and Micah who were on the far left and close to the door (you probably didn't know how much research and guess work goes into these pictures, right? It's actually a lot more work than you'd think).

So, as soon as they thanked everyone for coming, I stood up and crossed over to where Mason was and started there. This turned out to be a good strategy, because after Mason I was able to get Minnie, Micah, Kyla, Cedric, and John Ross. The cast was awesome and ended up staying a really long time to meet everyone. Score!

Early Birthday Lunch

Since we'll be leaving early for Utah this weekend, we had an early birthday lunch for me at work with some of my favorite work friends.

We went to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants where I got to wear a silly hat.
