I met Thandie Newton (otherwise known as Maeve on Westworld) at a play opening in LA years ago.

She's amazing on the show and, really, in everything she does. I love that you can see my friend Patrick as a fuzzy blur in the background.

I got a call from a sibling the other day who asked if certain things were true that he'd heard from another family member. 

I appreciated this more than they will ever know because I hate being talked about behind my back. If someone has a problem, they should deal with me directly and not talk about me to everyone else. Seriously, why does everything need to be such drama?!?!

Deep Dish Pizza!!!

Huge thanks to our friend Melanie who sent us Lou Malnati's pizzas overnight so that we could enjoy amazing Chicago deep dish pizza in California. 

It was so cool to see the cooler they arrived in packed with dry ice to keep them fresh. Plus, we got two pizzas to devour! Yum!

Pinky's Fandance Flashback - Ed Harris

In honor of the Westworld finale this weekend, I thought we'd spotlight three of the big players on the show in the next few Fandances.

The first of these is the "Man in Black" himself, Ed Harris. I'd like to say that Ed was super fan friendly and awesome in person, but that would be a lie. Still, he finally gave in to my picture request, so yay? He's great on the show, though.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to Sunday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.

Nothing says, "I'm totally fine that you ended our engagement" like hooking up Vegas style on a beach for photographers. The leg is a real classy touch.

Mr. Robot Panel

Keith has recently become enamored with the TV show Mr. Robot, so when a Q&A came up with the cast, I knew we had to go. He was in heaven!

The set-up was great - they had great decorations and even better snack foods. Pear and brie? Yum!

Pinky's Fandance - Dale Midkiff

One of my secret pleasures is this film series on the Hallmark channel about a family on the prairie long ago. The films are as follows:

Love Comes Softly, Love's Enduring Promise, Love's Long Journey, Love's Abiding Joy, Love's Unending Legacy, Love's Unfolding Dream, Love Takes Wing, Love Finds a Home, Love's Resounding Courage, Love Begins and Love's Christmas Journey. I can't help it - these films make me ridiculously happy. They are so cheesy and predictable and I love them so so so so so much. Like, way more than I should.

If I could find a DVD set of all these films, I would be the happiest girl ever! Still, I was so excited at Rewind Con to meet Dale Midkiff who plays Clark Davis, the patriarch of the family, in these films. He was also in Love Potion #9 which always makes me smile. His grey hair totally threw me off, but he ended up being very nice. Love the photo bomb in the back from Roby Marshall!

Arrival

On Friday, we went to see Arrival with Keith's family. I was looking forward to seeing something less gruesome than Hacksaw Ridge.

Arrival was beautifully shot with a bunch of great visuals. The movie itself was interesting, but the pacing was very......slow.

Still, I enjoyed the film and thought Amy and Jeremy did great jobs.
