We left Palm Springs fairly early on Saturday morning, so that we could get to Stan Lee's LA Comic Con in time. 

As you can see, it was a total crowded mess.

But, we were able to stop at this adorable booth for some pics.

Plus, they gave me this adorable crown!

We ran into some friends while we were there.

Party in Palm Springs

Not only were we in Palm Springs to celebrate Sean's star, but he also turned the big 5-0! Obviously, a party was in order.

I wish I'd taken more pictures to highlight the layout of the place. It truly felt like we were in an episode of Mad Men at a swinging pool party.

Pinky's Fandance - Ted Casablanca

As a voracious reader of all-things related to the Entertainment Industry, there are certain authorities I trust more than others. For example, I don't believe anything unless it appears in People magazine (don't judge me). 

One of my all-time favorite gossip columns was written by none other than Ted Casablanca for E. He was the BEST and I miss his salacious Blind Vices column to this day (also, who is Toothy Tile?!?!). Sadly (for me, not for him), he went off to run an art gallery in Palm Springs, which he appears to love. More power to him! As I've loved him for years and always wanted to meet him, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pop by his gallery when we were in Palm Springs. What a great guy! He couldn't have been nicer, especially to a super fan like me. He also shared that he's writing a book. Squee! Can't wait to read it!

Sean Kanan's Palm Springs Walk of Fame Star

On Friday, we headed down to Palm Springs for Sean Kanan's star ceremony as he received a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame.

It was a lovely presentation with many heartfelt words of appreciation and love being shared.

We're so proud of our awesome friend, Sean!

We also got to see our friends Jeremy and Joanie, who also know Sean.

This is Sean's wife, Michele, who is a sweetheart.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Friday Edition

Top Five LOL Animals of the Day

Why, Yes, This IS The Han Solo Jacket....

In case you didn't know, the "traditional" gift for a 3rd year wedding anniversary is leather. As such, I felt that I finally needed to cave and surprise Keith with the leather jacket like Han Solo wore in The Force Awakens.  

When the film first came out, he wanted the Poe Dameron jacket, but the versions of it online look cheap and tacky. I loved how the Han Solo jacket looked. The only problem was that the lame retailer I bought it from on eBay lied about it being in the US, lied about it being shipped, and lied about being a good retailer. Needless to say, the jacket didn't arrive in time for the big day.

Thankfully, I was able to have DHL hold it and we picked it up when we got back. The top picture is the first time he put it on. Do you think he was excited?!

Suffice it to say he loves it! :) I've caught him a few times wearing the jacket whilst looking in the mirror and saying, "Why, yes, this IS the Han Solo jacket." Every time I'm like, "Who's asking you that question?!?!" It cracks me up. I love how much he loves it. Almost as much as I love him (well, not really....that's an immeasurable amount). :)

Pinky's Fandance - Dita Von Teese

Apparently, my husband and I have the same girl crush on Dita Von Teese. We had no idea of this fact until we both got giddy at the idea of her being at LA Comic Con. To see us around her, however, was tragic to behold as we both instantly turned into starstruck children.

Seriously, we both looked at the floor and giggled every time she spoke to us. And she was completely awesome and lovely (and even loved my purse!). But, we were silly children around her. All I could do was giggle like a moron.
