The Coogan Collection

When I organized our DVD collection, I made sure to put Keith's movies all right on top so we can pull them out whenever we had a hankering for some "Keith TV."

We actually do have a few more that I'm still looking for, but I think our collection is off to a great start!

Pinky's Fandance - Maitland Ward

I first saw Maitland Ward on The Bold and the Beautiful and then continued to watch her on shows like Boy Meets World and Home Improvement.

Lately she seems to be at almost every event we attend, but for some reason she's really hard for me to recognize. Finally I saw her name tag and was able to grab a picture without going home and realizing we missed her again.

A (Wo) Man with a Plan

I'm very excited because I feel like I've finally got a plan when it comes to unpacking our apartment - which has pretty much overwhelmed me since we moved in a few weeks ago.

Of course I'm not going to bore you with all the details, but suffice it to say that Keith and I are both on board and looking forward to making it happen this weekend. Wish us luck!

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Decorating Away

Yesterday we received an adorable little hula girl outfit for one of the flamingos in our kitchen from my girl Lindsay (who also gave me the flamingo for Christmas). How cute is the skirt and top?

In other news, apparently I've never met a wall cling-on I didn't like - last night I was up late applying this to our bedroom wall.

Kyla Kennedy is on The Walking Dead and is cute as can be.

I kind of feel weird getting pics with kids, but after missing my shot with Abigail Breslin at the premiere of Little Miss Sunshine, I've changed my tune. You never know who they'll grow up to be! :)

The Dishes Are Done, Man!

Yesterday I was notified that none other than Glenn Howerton (who's phenomenal on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) had tweeted out the classic quote said by Keith's character, Kenny Crandell, in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.

Of course, technically, the line is, "The dishes are done, man," but no biggie. Trust me, we hear it said both ways constantly (Keith insists it's going to be on his tombstone one day).

In related news, our awesome friend Nicole (from Rainbow Alternative, our official merchandiser) just got this incredible Don't Tell Mom tattoo done - it's so cool! Way to commit, girl.

Top Five LOL Animals of the Day

Feeling HOT HOT HOT

So, you're probably going to get sick of hearing about this from me, but holy cow is it HOT here. While it's true I'm a California girl 100%, I grew up on the coast and it wasn't nearly this hot there. In fact, it was pretty much about 70 degrees all the time - Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall - 70 degrees.

Now, when I lived in Utah, it was HOT. Summers were BRUTAL. But, I expected it. They actually had seasons there. Sure, it was miserable, but I expected it, prepared for it, and basically suffered through it each and every year.

We had the ocean breeze in our last place; now we just have neverending sweat and heat. We are dying of heat. We're hot in the day, we're hot at night, and we're hot every minute in between.

Those that know me know that I'm a bit of a martyr when it comes to the heat. My first apartment in Salt Lake City was notoriously hot and I'd rarely, if ever, turn on the A/C. I've continued in my anti-A/C ways until I met my adorable husband who has never met an A/C he didn't want to turn on at full blast ALL. THE. TIME. My husband (bless his heart) will blast the A/C in the car in the morning, when the windows are down, and, usually, when there's zero need to run the A/C. Whatever. I'm pretty much used to that. I don't understand it, but it makes him happy, so it's fine.

Now, however, we've begun the A/C wars at home. Not surprisingly, he wants to run the A/C 24/7 at full blast, whereas I'd rather try an ice pack, or a nice little fan. Perhaps when we get the electricity bill, something will change, but for now we remain in a constant battle over how cool our house is (or isn't, as is usually the case).
