Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Is it just me, or does Brooke Shields look a *wee* bit insane here? I wonder if Rihanna is actually wearing anything underneath this jacket?
Thank you, Rumer Willis, for shooting me down for a picture last night on your way to get this one taken. I find it odd that you can't stop for one second. Kellan Lutz stopped. You didn't? Bizarre.
We walked down the street with this girl at a premiere last week and saw her taking pictures with people, but had absolutely no idea who she was. Still don't. All I know is that she really wanted to be a flower child in 1962.
That dog is terrified. Look in its eyes - it's like, "Please, save me! She can't fool me - despite her attire, I know she's not a zoo keeper!"

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Top Five Things I've Learned Driving in LA

This past month of commuting back and forth to LA has taught me many, many things. In no particular order, here are my Top Five: 1) There's no parking in LA. Anywhere. Ever. Parking garages (and validations) are your best friends and pretty much your only hope for not getting a ticket. If by some miracle you end up getting a spot, don't ever let it go. It's like a unicorn; you'll never find it again. 2) LA has A LOT of freeways. These freeways (obviously) don't all have the same exits and it's very easy to forget where you are. If you're on the phone and not paying attention, you will miss your exit. Guaranteed, Just when I think I've mastered the freeways....I get lost. If it weren't for my trusty iPhone mapping system, I'd still be lost in the middle of nowhere. 3) Apparently, I can parallel park after all. Who knew I possessed such skill? Well, when you're unable to find a spot (see point #1) and you're sick of paying for parking, sometimes it's the only way. 4) Similar to the parking problem, there aren't many places you can turn around. LA seems to have a grudge against flipping a U-turn. This can be especially inconvenient when you're at a traffic light going one way and some hot celeb is at the light going the other way and you want to turn around to follow them. Wait. A. Minute. Did I just say that out loud? Crap. Not that I'd ever do that of course. Wait, did I really say that with a straight face? Perhaps I already have. :)5) Despite your best laid plans and ample time allowed for traveling, you will hit traffic. A lot of it. Often. It sucks and there's not much you can do about it. I'm pretty good about driving on the "off" times, but even that doesn't always work. The best thing to do is stock up your iPod and sing whenever you can. Trust me, it helps. :)

Pinky's Fandance - Vinnie Jones

For anyone associated with Guy Ritchie's films, this face will be very familiar, as he seems to be the bad guy in every single movie. In real life, however, Vinnie Jones is a complete sweetheart. First of all, those eyes? Yum. Second of all, he just looks like he'd be a big, strong protective man. Finally, he's got an accent (sold!). When I asked him for a picture, he said, "Sure, darling, as long as you're in it." How cute is that? :) I don't know if he has a daughter, but I'd bet if he does he's a big ol' softie. *Swoon*

What Day Is It?

I'm so messed up on my dates and times right now and my normally superior iPhone isn't helping matters much. Somehow it bumped all the birthdays I had programmed in to be either the day before or the day after their actual birthday, so if the person isn't on Facebook, I'm pretty sure I'm going to forget their birthday. Add to this mix the fact that I still have yet to unpack my crafts (read: ability to make/send birthday cards) and you get the World's Worst Auntie. I just remembered that I think my youngest nephew's birthday was yesterday. Or it's today. Or it was Sunday. Why don't I know? What kind of an Auntie am I? I know it's B's birthday on the 4th and Allycat's birthday on the 2nd.....why are those the only two August dates my brain can process??? I'm fairly certain I'm losing (read: lost) it. Deacon....I'm so sorry. I hope you had/have a very special birthday, sweet boy! :) xoxox

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. While I'll admit to not really following Ali's season as closely as I would've liked to, I did read about the finale and was incredibly impressed by how she handled it. She and Roberto look really happy and I wish them all the best. Please, oh please, have a couple other than Trista and Ryan make it. Please!I'm not really sure what kind of look Carrie Underwood was going for here. Naughty school boy? Lady Gaga? A combination? Whatever it is, apparently married life has made her a bit daring. :)
OK, Ke$ha, we get it - you're WILD and crazy and wear blue lipstick. Now knock it off and try to be normal. Just sing and don't make us look at your Halloween costumes anymore, m'kay? Eva Mendes is supposed to guest star on Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow and I'm not sure I want to go because I'm not sure she'll come over and pose. Actually, the real reason is that if she does decide to pose, I'm going to look like yesterday's trash in comparison to her beauty. Since when are David Blaine and Woody Harrelson BFFs? Seems like an unlikely combo to me.

Top Five LOL Cats of the Day

Let Me Get This Straight....

So, I was watching the ending of Grease the other day for the millionth time (I know, I can't get enough), when I realized that the message of the entire movie is that in order to get the person you love, you need to change everything about yourself. Um, what? Really? All these years I thought my parents didn't want us to watch the movie because of the mooning scene...but perhaps there was more to it after all. :) Don't get me wrong, I still worship the movie and will watch it a thousand more times before I did, but I just found it interesting to look at the ending with that in mind. It's late. Perhaps I'm looney. It happens.

Pinky's Fandance - Ali Fedotowsky

Knowing my love for all things Bachelor-related, as well as my adoration for Ali (despite being heavy on the tears), I was super excited to meet her today at Jimmy Kimmel. At first she was going to stiff and not come over (due to her handlers who were rushing her), but I wasn't having any of that. I yelled out that we'd been waiting for hours and sure enough, she came over (sadly, it was also true - but it was only an hour or two and other stuff was going on - don't judge me). She's completely adorable. Oh, and in case you're wondering about the multiple pictures....I asked for a different picture because I didn't like our first one...but now I think I like the first one after all. Why do I always do that?

Comcast = FAIL

If you can help it, don't EVER do any business with Comcast, as they've been nothing but one big headache for me. As if getting credit for the few weeks my service was down wasn't hard enough, today I found out that THEY'RE STILL BILLING ME for services, despite having my equipment back (and the fact that I now live in an entirely different state). Um, what? I must've talked to a billion people before today - all of them assuring me that my account was cancelled and closed - only to find out that, in fact, it wasn't. Surprise! The first guy I talked to even had the audacity to tell me that they'd be billing me through July because I didn't notify them of my move. Um, YES I DID. Multiple times. How is it my fault that no one recorded my calls or made note of them? I hate them. I never want to do business with them again.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Note to Kelly Rutherford: I know you're beautiful in your own right, but perhaps you shouldn't pose next to Christie Brinkley. Ever. She's got twenty years on you, but you'd never know it. Plus, she makes you look a wee bit albino. I'm just sayin'.
Holy hell! I didn't realize there was something even more terrifying than a wax figure, but it looks like we've found it. Is this some sort of pinata?Somewhere out there, a granny is naked at her bridge club. Please help Kelli Garner wash her clothes - I think she may have shrunk that shirt.
Oh, how I long to be Jennifer Garner's hand....touching that beautiful man she's lucky enough to call her husband.

Top Eight Postsecrets of the Day

Kudos All Around

Lest you think I'm a Negative Nelly and only point out times when people FAIL or act like douchebags, I'd like to show that yes, in fact, I can be positive. Today I'm giving a shout out and kudos to those who've gone above and beyond this week. Bravo! Today I received an email from Nick - one of the band members of Runner Runner - thanking me for putting their awesome single "So Obvious" on my blog. How great is that? I love that he took the time to say thanks! Total class all the way. Sheesh, I didn't even think I could possibly like them more...but I was wrong. Runner Runner (how cool is their logo??) is quickly climbing my list of favorite bands. Way to go, guys!
Kudos going out to The Cheesecake Factory for not only acknowledging my recent complaint with two different phone calls, but also sending me a gift card to use the next time I go there. Of course, the $15 will buy me, what, an appetizer? But no matter. It's the thought that counts, right? :)Finally, big kudos going out to my "well connected" friend who sent me a list of entertainment jobs. I've spent a good part of today sending out cover letters and resumes to the 18 + jobs which fell into my scope. Perhaps there's hope for landing a job yet? :)

Pinky's Fandance - Lisa Ling

Poor Lisa Ling had to be a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show the same day as Zac Efron. Which, basically, is like being a stray little balloon after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade goes by.
Although, now that I think of it, she did get to sit in the Green Room WITH delicious Zac Efron...nothing wrong with that. We ran into her exiting the building after the craze of Zac Mania had calmed down. I think there were three people left who wanted to see her - including me and Adam. He had a book for her to sign and she signed a "J" - needless to say, Adam wasn't thrilled.

Flea Watch: Day Two

I'm so covered in flea bites, I can't tell if they're growing or having children. Thank goodness they're not on my face - only my stark white stomach and arms. Obviously you need to replace the word mosquito with flea in this comic. Either way....funny...and way too true.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Monday Edition

Hello and welcome to Monday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.You know it's hard times when I think someone's dog is a million times cuter than they are. I do like her glasses, though.I'm so confused by Jennifer Esposito's outfit. Is she holding a jacket? Is she wearing shorts? Are those tennis/bowling shoes with heels? Whatever it is....yikes.
For the love of all things holy, will someone PLEASE teach Jessica Simpson the meaning of TMI? Is Madonna good friends with Glee's Sue Sylvester? Who else would try to jazz up a sweatsuit by wearing a fancy scarf? This is Jada Pinkett-Smith. This is what she was wearing when I missed her at Kimmel because I had to run over to In-n-Out. Fail.
