A/C? When? Where?

So, apparently I failed to relay the story to you regarding my oh-so-fun adventure in the moving truck. While I'm still amazed that I made it safely and in one piece, the real mystery is how I didn't die of heatstroke. You see, for some reason unknown to me (the blonde roots, perhaps?) I failed to notice that my vehicle did, in fact, have A/C. Duh. Of course, I didn't realize this until we were in Mesquite, NV (or what felt like the outer layer of the sun) and I was sweating like a whore in church. My niece, bless her heart, didn't feel a thing. She was fine as fine could be. Me on the other hand? Not fine. Not happy. Not wanting to do anything but bathe in a cold bath filled with ice. Thank goodness I found the A/C before I melted away. Now that wouldn't have been pretty. On a side note, I took this picture with my iPhone as we entered California. Hooray! Yes, I know I've got some mad photography skills.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. You know, I don't think that Leo and Ellen Page are really that far apart in age. Is it necessary for him to look like some foreboding father in this picture? He's kinda scaring the crap out of me.
I'm not sure what this girl is laughing about except for the fact that her torso is made out of newspaper and her skirt makes the cha-cha-cha sound I love.
Oh, Nicolas. You know I love you so. Even with your thinning hair and ill-advised goatee. I know you're trying to look young and hip and I appreciate that, my love, but we all know that you're 59 on a good day. I still love you, but come on.Someone's been playing around in the aluminum foil again. Classy use of medical tape on her foot. Why wouldn't you cover that up with, say, a shoe? A sock? More Reynold's wrap? I'm just sayin'.
TC, my nemesis, I just want you to know that no matter how many jerseys you hold up (does that say you're a ho?), or how many cool, hip programs you appear on, you're always always always going to be the crazy whackjob who jumped on Oprah's couch, criticized Brooke Shields, and kidnapped Katie Holmes. Are we clear?

Top Five LOL Cats of the Day

My Fave One So Far

Despite not reading all the Twilight books or being an insane Twi-hard, I will sheepishly admit to seeing the past two movies (although usually only because I was dragged to them). This time was no different - as I selected The A-Team, my dad selected Eclipse for us to see and so I went half expecting to dislike it like the others. Now, don't get me wrong, I didn't hate the other two...I just wouldn't buy them for my collection or even watch them again on purpose. This time was different, though. I'm not sure if it was due to the love story being hot stuff or (spoiler alert) the union with the werewolves, but I really enjoyed Eclipse. Kristen Stewart even looked pretty throughout the film (due to her longer hair perhaps?). I also finally figured out who all the other actors were playing the vampires. I'd initially thought they were unknowns....but I was wrong again. Guess I should pay closer attention to the Twi-hard world.

Pinky's Fandance - Conchata Ferrell

If you've ever watched an episode of Two and a Half Men, you know that the real star of the show is Conchata Ferrell who plays the maid. Her deadpan humor and witty insults keep me in stitches anytime I get the chance to watch it. Conchata starred in the Nora Ephron play and was the last cast member out of theater the other night. Despite looking annoyed in the picture, she was actually quite nice....although perhaps I would've liked her to insult me for fun. I could pretend to be Charlie Harper.

Pooped Out Pink

My apologies for the delayed blogs, but I'm wiped out. Between the move and being sick, I feel like I've been run over by a truck. Have I mentioned I've also lost my voice? Oh, yeah. It's a dream. I love sounding like I should work for a 1-900 number. For some reason, even doing a little bit of work (like unpacking) wears me out. I seem to want to be napping all the time. Of course, I do need to factor in my cold and possible bronchitis. I seriously might cough up a lung here if I'm not careful. The good news is that my sister and I finally got my room "staged" today - meaning we've put everything where we'd like it to go. Now, there's still a garage full of pinkness that needs to be put away, but we'll get there. One box at a time. Luckily my sister is a champ at organizing and unpacking. I'm rather excited to see how it all turns out. :)

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Wednesday's belated edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. I'm not sure who let this guy onto the red carpet, but I think he's running late for his shift at Long John Silvers. Either that, or as a gondola guide at the Venetian.Does the world realize that Grace Jones was the original Lady Gaga? Look at her, 40 years later, still rocking the ridiculous outfits and facial expressions. A cymbal on her head? Oh, Grace. Why does Britney's head look like it was transposed onto this body? It's like someone was playing with paper dolls or something.Other than Mr. T, only Jared Leto can rock a mowhawk. It doesn't matter what color it is - pink, yellow, black - that boy is delish.Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of Cameron Diaz. Exactly what is that shirt she's wearing? If I wear some special glasses will I see shapes?

Top Five FAILS of the Day

Princess Pinky and the Pea

So, we weren't sure how my bed was going to work at my dad's place, since he already had a bed in my room and I brought my bed from Utah. To solve this, we decided to stack two bedframes and two mattresses onto one bed. Here's an actual picture. Yes, that's right, I'm the Princess and the Pea. It's quite comfortable. Yesterday I thought I might sleep my entire life away on the joy that is my new bed. Of course, I have to do a little run/jump to get on it, but no matter. Once I'm up there, it's heaven. My sister tried to get me a little step stool, but my foot went right through it. Fail.

Pinky's Fandance - Lucy DeVito

As I mentioned yesterday, Lucy DeVito was starring in the same play as her mother, Rhea Perlman. According to her imdb profile, it appears that Lucy is relatively new in the entertainment industry, but you never know how she might blow up in the future. Lucy seemed shocked that I wanted a picture with her. She was itty bitty teeny weeny - which shouldn't surprise me considering her father is Danny DeVito. Still, super cute girl.

The A-Team = Two Thumbs Up

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I knew I'd enjoy The A-Team movie. Hello, it has Bradley Cooper shirtless for half the movie. Mark me down for a YES. I love him (wait, is that new?). After a much needed relaxing day yesterday, my dad and I went to see The A-Team movie and very much enjoyed it. The only thing I felt it was missing was a cameo or two from the original members. Now THAT would've been awesome!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.So, this is "Chaz" Bono (you know, previously Chastity - now he's minus the titties) and his/her girlfriend. I think it'd be hard to be with someone who's now a man but used to be a woman. Does that make her gay or straight?Being Heidi Klum's daughter would be a bit of a challenge, I would think. Luckily, little Lou here looks like a beautiful little baby.Really? Who selected this picture? It's like she's slouching over and saying, "Duhhhh."Does Jennifer Garner's drape, I mean dress, need some ironing? It looks kinda wrinkly in front.
Gah - I didn't know there was something more terrifying than wax figures. I was wrong.

Top Seven Postsecrets of the Day

4th of July Fun

After the Girl's Weekend, I drove back down to Oxnard to celebrate the 4th of July with the fam. We had a great bbq and then walked down to the beach for the fireworks (great show!). Despite being completely and totally exhausted, it was a lot of fun.Dad, Erin, and Phoenix trying to keep warm. Max, obviously, enjoying the fireworks show in the background. Spenser was way too cool for school to hang out with the fam. He claims this was a better view, but I think we all know what was going on there.Adam and Max before the fireworks began.

Pinky's Fandance - Rhea Perlman

The next person to come out of the play the other night was Rhea Perlman. I'd actually met Rhea and her husband Danny DeVito about five years ago at Sundance and got a picture with them together, but I thought it'd be great to get a picture with just her if I had the chance. She was totally down to earth. Her daughter, Lucy, is also in the play and it was cute to hear the exchange between them.

Girl's Weekend 2010 = Success!

Big kudos going out to Princess Allycat who organized this year's Girl's Weekend. We had a great time wine tasting, hanging out, and just being together. Here are a few pics. Isn't my new dress adorable? My friend Lu Lu Bell made it for me. I love it!
