Do people actually use these to cook? And, yes, I did melt the plastic collander all over the place (in case you were wondering).
Attempt One: This was the only redeemable photo and Heidi hates it (sorry, Heidels).
Attempt Two: Could I have a bigger tongue please? WTF?!
Attempts Three and Four: I love how we try to look "sultry," but really we just look pissed off. In the last attempt, I think Heidels looks exactly like Ingrid Michaelson in the second frame. Obviously, we still need practice to get the hang of this app. Baby steps, right?
Toni Braxton decided to start her Cinco de Mayo celebration off early by displaying her love for tacos. Honey, NO ONE looks good in a shiny black unitard. No one.
Ah, Scarlet. Luckily you decided to skip the red lipstick this time and I thank you for that. Still, the dress seems a little....what's the word?? Oh, that's right. Maternity-looking.
Poor poor Jessica. Not only is she unlucky in love, she's also got bad posture and a horrible stylist. The only way this dress would ever work would be if she were about to marry the Man in the Yellow Hat from Curious George.
Speaking of bad stylists, Ken Paves needs to be fired for cutting Eva's hair with a Flowbee. Gah. I can't even look - my eyes are bleeding.
I love watching foreign filmes - I'm not sure why it is, but a lot of them seem so much better than "regular" movies. Life is Beautiful, Amelie, and Cinema Paradiso are a few of my favorites and I highly recommend them.
The other night I finally watched Pedro Almodovar's latest film, Broken Embraces, starring Penelope Cruz. Now, I'm not a big Penelope fan, but that's the beauty of Pedro's films: He actually makes me forget that I can't stand her.
I haven't enjoyed one of his films this much since Talk to Her and that movie was genius. I realize a lot of people don't like foreign films because they're not big on the sub-titles, but I promise you - it's worth it.
Is this Monday's doing? Or am I just cranky? Either way, I'm ready to go back to bed. Plus, my tattoo hurts. Stupid guy. He gave me shoddy advice on how to care for it - I think it's messed up now. Blurgh.
You know, I've never been a huge Jake Gyllenhaal fan - I mean, I like his acting and all, but he's never been all that attractive to me (probably just not gay enough looking for me). However, a long haired, shirtless Jake may change my mind. Meow.
Speaking of meow, there are rumors that my beloved Matthew Morrison (aka Mr. Shuester) is involved with Chace Crawford. Well, I shouldn't be surprised - after all, I am attracted to him. That should automatically make him gay.
See, what did I tell you about those glaringly bright white teeth? Gah.
I'm not too big on the American Idol cast-offs, but I do find it funny that Tamyra Gray married the ugly guy from Color Me Badd. Oops, did I say that out loud? What? He WAS the ugly one. I should know - I loved that group. I still have them on my iPod.
With my favorite pink holiday rapidly approaching (someone's 37th birthday, that is), I'm finding it interesting just how many early birthday greetings and special offers I've been receiving from various businesses.
First, I got a $10 off coupon and card from Victoria's Secret. Next, I received a birthday card from "my friends" at Southwest Rapids Rewards (signed by about thirty of my closest friends), and then yesterday I received a coupon for free cookie dough at Papa Murphy's. Wow - my birthday is still 11 days away (not that anyone's counting....). I wonder what else might be coming my way?? :)
Yesterday I tried acupuncture for the first time and I've got to say.....it was awesome! :) My friend Allison co-founded an acupuncture clinic and in honor of May Day they had a free day for bew clients. As my migraine was still hanging around on the right side of my head, I figured it couldn't hurt. In fact, it could only get better. Guess what? It did! I was a little blown away because to help my head the needles were put into my foot, but hey, whatever works. I may be hooked!
Dear Kate Walsh: The next time you walk a red carpet, you might want to remember to put on some make-up.
Dear Lindsay: Your dress might look like it was made out of a couch, but at least you're finally not wearing leggings. Thank you for that.
Dear Ashlee & Pete: I realize it's the Kentucky Derby, but I don't think they said it was a costume contest. You look ridiculous. Seriously.
Dear Katherine: Did you dye your hair black so that you'd be able to dress however you'd like and use up your grubby clothes? In case you didn't know, we can still see you.
Over the past few years, we've been reconnected on Facebook and it's been great being able to keep in touch more frequently. I loved the little messages he'd send or comments he'd make. He was such a sweet person. I'd always meant to go back and visit; now I'll never get to see his big smile again. My heart is very heavy and sad.
