Oh, man! I can't believe I missed my shot! Had I known such a dress existed (that is, a dress made up completely of Hello Kitty dolls), I could have worn it as my wedding dress! 

Look, it even came with a veil. Drat! (please note the sarcasm dripping from my typed words.....)

Pinky's Fandance Gratitude Flashback - Will Ferrell

You may not believe this, but Will doesn't always have the best of reputations in Hollywood when it comes to being fan friendly. I know, it shocked me, too. Because I'd heard so many things, I was a bit leery to try to meet him....but I'm such a HUGE fan, I couldn't help but try. I figured if he shot me down, he shot me down, but at least I asked.

To my surprise and delight, he said, "Sure." I was stunned! I almost couldn't move. I love that he's rocking the mustache from Anchorman 2. So cool!

Holy crap. How did I miss Jared sporting a bright pink mohawk? It's amazing.

They are such a freaking cute royal couple. I adore them. We should hang out.

Pinky's Fandance Gratitude Flashback - Cher

If you can believe it, I actually got the pictures with Mike Myers, Sally Field, AND Cher all on the same night!!! What a night, huh?

The hardest part about the Cher picture was that we were literally in the dark - I had no idea when I took it if we were even in frame. I just took my best shot and hoped for the best (hence the crazed look on my face). I'm SO stoked it turned out! And Cher was a total sweetheart. She exceeded my expectations.

Keith's Clippings

Check out the amazing old magazine clippings of Keith's that I found on eBay for the low low price of $4.99. What a great deal!

Now I just need to figure out how to frame them or display them properly. So fun to see these!

Also of note? This awesome record that's been repurposed into a painting of my man. So cool! Can't wait to hang it on our wall!

Pinky's Fandance Gratitude Flashback - Sally Field

I still remember watching Sally Field as "Gidget" in old episodes of the show with the same name growing up. Sally was so adorable as Gidget and I always thought she'd be awesome to meet in person.

I'd tried to meet her for a long time and then one day the stars aligned and it all worked out. Despite her not thinking she could make it over to me, our picture ended up turning out super cute. Hooray! Great night indeed.

No Present Face Needed

So, I'm afraid I have a horrible "Present Face" when opening something that's, well, sub-par. You see, I happen to think I'm ridiculously easy to shop for (as I like anything pink, flamingo, Hello Kitty, or Duran Duran), so to screw it up just doesn't seem like an easy thing to do. 

In the past, to be sure I wouldn't have to fake present face, I've been explicit with people and told them exactly what I wanted so as to avoid any sort of disappointment come present time.

But this year was different. I didn't tell Keith what to get - he did it all on his own. And of all the presents he bought me, I didn't have to use present face even once! He did a great job! My favorite, of course, is this Swarovski crystal flamingo necklace - isn't it gorgeous?!?! He also got me a Hello Kitty wallet (because he said my old wallet was turning into a "Costanza wallet"), some fun word magnets for the fridge, a Say Anything shirt, and a Duran Duran shirt. Nicely done, babe! Very impressed with my hubby's skills.
