True Blood * True Love

So, the good thing about having satellite TV with DVR is that my beloved True Blood can be viewed live instead of waiting forever for the DVDs to be released. The bad thing, however, is that I didn't have it before and had to wait for the season two DVDs before I could watch season three - in the meantime, our DVR erased all but the last six episodes of season three.


Long story short, I hadn't really watched the entire third season of True Blood until now. Hip hip hooray! I love seeing all the new characters along with the full stories. I'd tried to watch the last half of the season, but it didn't make much sense without seeing the beginning. I love this cast shot (shown above) but I'm still missing two of the cast members....sigh. Pinky's Fandance Redux - Paul Rudd

Many years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Paul Rudd when he sat behind me at a Sundance film. He was quite a bit younger and not nearly as popular as he is now, but I thought he was awesome all the same.


You can barely tell I'm bending down behind him as he sat in his seat. I think the picture was taken on a disposable camera, which is why the coloring is a little off.


Here's my sad attempt at picture #2 with Paul at his recent premiere. Obviously it didn't go exactly as planned, as he didn't seem to look at the right time. Oh, well. He's got a film at Sundance this year, so let's hope I have another chance for a recent shot. Fingers crossed...

The Time is Now

While I'm not big on making grand resolutions at the beginning of each year, I would like to work on one major thing starting now: Be happy with where I am. No matter what I'm doing, who I'm with, or what size I am, BE HAPPY and appreciate where I am in life. Stop constantly looking back or looking forward thinking things will be so much better "if only...." Screw the if only: my time is NOW.


When I look back on my life, I see all these times I could've been happier, but instead was focused on bigger and better things. When I was a child, I couldn't wait to grow up. When I was in high school, I felt like a big, fat tub-a-lard despite wearing a size seven (that's right, SEVEN!!! And still I never appreciated it). When I was married, I wanted to be single and now that I've been single for over a decade....well, you can see where this is going. If I don't learn to be happy and positive no matter what, I'm forever going to become more and more negative, bitter, and unhappy. Who wants to live like that? So, from now on, the time for life is now. :)

Pinky's Fandance - Fave Pic of the Year

As I didn't really do any typical "end of the year wrap up type stuff," I thought I'd try to select my favorite celeb pic of the year. I was going to do a Top Ten, but there were too many choices, so I selected my fave one based on several different factors. The winner? My beloved Bradley Cooper.


Here's what makes this picture unique from the hundreds of others I was lucky enough to get this year: 1) I had no idea Bradley Cooper was at Sundance, so his arriving in front of us was a little bit like a miracle. He appeared out of nowhere and was like a dream come true. 2) Not only was he even hotter than you'd imagine him to be, he was super nice to everyone and made you feel like his BFF. 3) My camera decided to take a nosedive two seconds before this was taken and I wasn't sure if this picture even came out. Imagine my surprise to see it turned out better than most pictures - LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

So, the other day something went awry with my beloved Scrabble game and to avoid any confusion, it spelled out the problem: SOMETHING WENT WRONG.
