Top Five LOL Cats of the Day

Pinky's Fandance, Tuesday Edition

Back in 2004, I was summoned by my friends to the Gateway building to see a plethora of celebrities - I'm pretty sure we've discussed this before. Jena Malone was there, as well, and I was stoked to meet her. I've always enjoyed her work - especially in Stepmom. She was much nicer than one of her co-stars (I'm looking at you, Macauley); although they all posed for a picture, so I should just be happy with that, right? :)

Another Week Already?

How is it Monday already? Weren't we just having a Friday? What gives? Apparently spending the weekend sick in bed doesn't make time stand still. Blurgh. Woke up sick yet again, but hopefully it'll go away in time. Maybe. My boss keeps asking why I won't go to the doctor, but what's he going to say? For $20 he'll say I've got a cold. No surprise there. I knew that already. Sheesh. I probably should've stayed in bed, but I didn't want to use more vacation time. I'm going to see how long I last out of bed today. So far so good, but it's still early. Hopefully I'll be OK.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. I love this couple so much, I'm not even going to make a crack about him stealing his scarf from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Normally I'm a big fan of the flower clip, but for some reason Melissa Joan Hart isn't pulling it off. Clarissa needs to explain why going Indian isn't a good look in general. Talk about making your chest look itty bitty teeny weeny. Probably not the way she was trying to go there. Egads. What's this? Katie smiling while walking with TC? Boo.
Well, I suppose it's OK for Brad's son to be wearing his hat. Will someone PLEASE cut off that awful facial hair?

Top Five Fails of the Day

Pinky's Fandance, Monday Edition

Jon Asher was married to Jenny McCarthy and directed the movie Dirty Love at the festival a few years ago.At the time, they were still married and Jenny starred in the movie. They were both incredibly nice, especially Jon. Super cutie. I haven't heard much about him lately; I wonder what he's been up to?

Cold Watch: Day Five

Apparently sleeping in until four o'clock on the afternoon still didn't help knock out this blasted cold. I feel as icky as ever. :( I'd wanted to go see a movie, but couldn't even fathom getting out of bed and leaving the house. Hopefully I'll be able to get up tomorrow and get into work. Maybe I'll just go in early and leave early in the afternoon. I just want to stop feeling so blech! Can't I just wave a wand and make it all go away?

Celebrity Wrap Up - Monday Edition

Hello and welcome to Monday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Dear Dita von Teese: Yowza - talk about being cougar-licious. Interesting dress.
Dear Victoria Beckham: Please eat. You're starting to look like those hungry kids in Africa.
Dear Rihanna: How do you walk around in that dress? It looks painful. Dear Britney: Elton John called - he'd like his jacket back.Dear Hannah Montana: Is Disney aware that your bra is showing? Just wondering.

Top Seven Postsecrets of the Day

Celebrity Tragedy of the Day

You know, it can't be easy to be Alexa Ray Joel. Bless her heart. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for her. I mean, despite reaching a fair amount of success on her own with her singing career, the fact remains that having a mom who looks like this: is never going to be good for her self-esteem. Sadly, her father, while incredibly talented, looks like this:
Allegedly, Alexa attempted suicide today by taking a bottle of sleeping pills. Thankfully she was rushed to the hospital and is in stable condition, but what a sad story. I hope she's going to be OK.

Pinky's Fandance, Sunday Edition

Patrick Stinson was (is?) an anchor on E News Daily and I came across him while he was filming a segment on Main Street at the fest one year.At the time, I didn't find him to be particularly nice or friendly, but he was in the middle of filming and someone waiting for a picture might be annoying. Still, he did take the picture, which is always appreciated. :)

The Blind Side

Heidi and I went to see The Blind Side last night - hurray! I've been wanting to see it since it came out last week. As expected, it was fantastic. Sandra Bullock was amazing and it was just such an inspirational story. The only bad thing about last night was that somehow ended up in the Freak Section of the theater, where every last person around us was either talking or texting. The girl next to me was actually responding to the questions on the film out loud. For example, if someone said, "How are you?" she'd say, "Fine, thanks." Um....what?!?!? It took every last bit of restraint I had not to wig out on her. It was bizarre to say the least. Today I've been taking it easy - watching the rest of Mad Men and crocheting (surprise). My cold doesn't seem to be getting better - it's now in my chest and killing me. Kill me now.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition

Hello and welcome to Sunday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. I realize Daniel Day-Lewis is fond of period pieces, but does he have to wear the wardrobe out in public?
I find it odd to see Miley Cyrus wearing a Jonas Brothers t-shirt (especially when she dated the youngest Jonai). You know, normally I think Chelsea Handler is a really pretty lady, but apparently standing next to Jenny McCarthy and Jennifer Aniston sucks the beauty out of you.Um, Reese? What's with the purple tights and purple shorts? And, um, boots? Really?
I just read that Ben Affleck is in a Sundance movie this year. HOLY CRAP. He's one of my Top Five that I haven't gotten a picture with yet. OMG, I'm dying of excitment. :)

Top Five Fails of the Day

Now This is a Tag I Can Get Behind

My friend Betsy tagged me in a picture on Facebook last night and I was a bit confused because I don't recall taking any pictures lately. Turns out, her cute little family made themselves a fireplace and put my Christmas card on their mantle. How awesome is that? It totally cracked me up! :)

Another Day, Another Dollar

Well, I'm out of bed, which is about as good as it gets right now. My cold seems to be getting worse by the day, which is odd because you'd think I'd be getting better. Oh, wait. That might require actual rest and not crocheting every piece of yarn in my house. Blurgh. This weekend I plan to take it easy, although I think I'm hitting a matinee with Heidi today - finally going to see The Blind Side (hooray!). I'm also getting more Mad Men in the mail - double hooray! I can't seem to get enough Mad Men right now. Triple love it.

Pinky's Fandance, Saturday Edition

Let's make no mistake about it: John C. Reilly hates my guts. Now, sure, it's not really obvious in this picture, but trust me: he hates me. Of course, it's not like he knows me personally. In fact, I've only had one encounter with him - but in that brief interlude, he made it clear that he hates me. When I asked him for a picture, he pretty much yelled, "After this one, it's the LAST one! I'm done!" Um, OK. Oh, and in case you're wondering if I'm just over-reacting, other people I know said he was nice to them, which proves my point: John C. Reilly hates me. Perhaps he's allergic to pink?

The Insanity Continues

So, last night I went home prepared to make one hat and two little scarves, but somehow got carried away and made three hats and two scarves. It's official: I'm a total and complete crochet maniac. I think they turned out cute, although it's hard to make hats without being able to measure them on someone's head while making it. I made AFMF about five million hats last winter, but at least I could measure his head while making them. I forgot how quick I can make them - I think they take about an hour. See, maniac. Now onto the next blanket...
