We went to visit my brother's family last week and I painted name signs for the kids along with something they liked.

Owen got a Y for BYU, since he's a big fan.

And Andrew loves sports! I tried to paint a soccer ball first and it was an unmitigated disaster, so a baseball it was! Love how these pics turned out. So cute!

How adorable is this picture my mom sent me? I love seeing old pics I've never seen before. 

Apparently she hadn't seen it before either as it was sent to her by her good friend Sandy (also pictured). Not sure why I couldn't keep my eyes open for the picture, though. Perhaps I was tired from socializing?

We're so stoked to see that Magnum Dopus (which is a documentary about the making of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot) is now available to watch on Amazon Prime!

It was a lot of fun to be on this set and I can't wait to see how it all turns out!

Heart in Motion

OK, so the picture isn't the best nor does it really do it justice, but I am OBSESSED with this piece of art I made this weekend. It was actually kind of an accident and I LOVE it!!!

Getting spray paint to drip isn't the easiest thing, so I'm having a hard time recreating this beautiful piece (also, it's not cut off on the side, the framing just isn't the best). 

I didn't think it needed any extra splatter, but just to test it out I made another one to see how it would turn out. Loving how chaotic and emotional it feels. I sent it to my girl Angie to represent her strong heart (even if it had been temporarily hurt).

First Artwork Sold!

Look at this proud artist! Keith sold his very first piece of artwork - how freaking cool is that?!?!

To be honest, I'm a bit sad about him selling it because I really love this piece of art. It would be even radder in a bigger size - maybe he just makes another one, but really big??

My final painting in my Intro to Painting class is this abstract panting I did this morning. I used pink glitter spray paint and a few acrylic colors to create a cylcone effect.

Makeshift Patio

Sadly (and probably for the best overall with the uptick in Covid cases), restaurants in California are closed except for takeout and patio seating. Well, for those restaurants without patios, they have been making do however they can.

We ate at Denny's the other day in their "patio" which was basically their parking lot with a tent over it.

We finally had a chance to watch Eurovision on Netflix last night and really enjoyed it.

While it still has lots of laughs, it also has a ton of heart, which always makes me like things more. If you get a chance, check it out!

We just got back from a quick trip to see my mom for a few days.

Hamilton Obsessed, Party of Two

Keith and I finally had the chance to see Hamilton on Disney Plus last week and fell totally and completely in love with the play. 

While, of course, we'd heard people singing its praises for years, we weren't sure if it was just over-hyped. Unfortunately, we've yet to experience in a theater ourselves, but the filmed version is an excellent way to see it.

So far we've seen it six times and counting, quote the lyrics constantly, and when we're not watching the film we're listening to the soundtrack. This play is infectious! I couldn't recommend it more.
