With my girl Clarissa in Tokyo, I wasn't sure how it'd all go down at work, since she's the one who usually organizes all the birthday stuff.

But my guys did a great job!

I came in to find these delights....

Early Birthday Dinner & Treats

Last week my dad came down for an early birthday dinner - it was perfect! So happy he could join us for a lovely night out.

Pinky's Fandance Flashback - Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel was one of my unicorns for the LONGEST time. I tried to get a picture with her forever! As you can see here, I finally met her at the Emmy awards and got my long awaited pic. I wish she didn't look like she hates me in the picture, but what are you going to do.

Last week Zooey moderated the Kidding panel and was super adorable. It was the first time I'd seen her since this picture was taken. As my main photo goal was Jim, I didn't really try for Zooey, but it was nice to see her do a few shots from a door (hard to explain). It was the nicest I'd ever seen her be to fans, which was cool.

Sample Sale Fun

One of the great perks about my job is the Sample Sale which is held a few times a year. Under a giant tent, they place tons and tons of Disney merchandise - shirts, shoes, housewares, toys, you name it - and we get to buy it for pennies, basically. Plus, everything we spend is donated to charity. Win-win!

My good friend George joined me today - he's a master shopper. He had the coolest bag that fit tons of stuff!

Here are a few of my goodies.

Oh, and all these bags!!! Can't wait to go through them and see what I found! :) It's a bit chaotic when you're just throwing things in a bag in a rush.

Fanboying

As you've probably surmised by now, we attend a lot of industry-related events. Normally my husband is unfazed by all the hoopla and celebrity in the room, but once in awhile he'll become just as much of a fanboy as any of us. I love when it happens!

Last week, he became transfixed by Michel Gondry - one of his Top Five directors. This was him waiting to ask him for a picture (aka stalking his prey - LOL).
