New Hair, Who 'Dis?

As much as I love and look forward to my birthday every year, I must admit that I find my actual birthday to be very triggering for me. 

Another year older means another year of wasted opportunities, missed chances, and fading youth. Plus, with the abundance of grey hairs making an appearance, I thought it best if we covered some of those up with a fun color. Welcome back, pink hair! And huge thanks to Keith for helping color it - he did a great job!

Pinky's Fandance - Connie Britton

Connie Britton is on so many things right now - how does she find the time? Seriously, she's on Smilf, 9-1-1, and Dirty John. Phew!

I've been lucky to meet her several times over the years and she's very kind. This was at an event for Dirty John and she completely transformed in it!

Top Five LOL Animals of the Day

We Love Sammy!!!

Huge thanks to my dad for making his way down here on Friday night so that we could have an early birthday dinner and he could pick up the love of our lives, Sammy, before our trip.

Before he got picked up, though, we decided to have a spontaneous photo session.

We'll miss him this week, but can't wait to see him on Sunday!

On our way to St. Louis on Saturday morning, Keith spotted Kyle Gass at the airport in the security line. Not wanting to miss our chance, we hit him up for a picture right then!

Super nice guy! Let's just pretend my hair wasn't wet and I was actually wearing make-up. Just pretend.

Binge This: You

Now, it's entirely possible that I'm super behind on my viewing and all of you have already watched the incredible show that is You.

While I'd heard great things, it wasn't until I saw a screening last week that I became hooked. On the flight home last night I binge watched about four and a half episodes and have five left to finish. 

I can't wait! I'm completely obsessed. Penn Badgley is a revelation and the girl of his affection is so watchable I can hardly stand it. I can't wait to see what happens next!

How lovely and talented is Jean Smart? She's the best!

I'd met her once before, but she didn't seem as into the selfie thing back then. Huge props to her for being so engaging now! She even called me adorable. :)

Watch This: Avengers Endgame

While I realize that no one needs any prodding to go see this super fun film, I do think it should be seen in a theater (despite the three-hour-plus run time).

Seriously, what a GREAT film! We loved it! We saw it last weekend and were completely mesmerized. We laughed, we cried, we cheered.

Also, Scarlett is rocking some seriously cool hair. I may need to copy it ASAP.

Uncovering Clues

Here's how I know I married the right person for me - we spent far too long last weekend trying to decipher all the clues in Taylor Swift's most recent video.

Not one to just release the name of her upcoming album and next single, Taylor likes to give her fans clues to find in her work.

We were up for the challenge! Also, we LOVE the new single, called "Me!" and the video is great!

Pinky's Fandance - Jim Carrey

I cannot even begin to tell you how much this picture means to me. It's no secret that I adore Jim Carrey - always have, always will. Our family used to watch In Living Color together every Sunday night growing up when it was on, so he was a huge part of my entertainment. As I got older, I still followed his career and his films. In fact, he even had a movie come to Sundance. Somehow I chose to see an ex-boyfriend instead of attend Jim's movie - which has haunted me ever since.

The next time I learned I'd have a chance to meet him was when he had a book signing on the day we got married. Don't think I didn't try to go! The book signing was in Santa Monica and our wedding was in Malibu....so close! If I could've figured out a way to swing it, I would have! But after finally getting this picture after missing him at several things and then having him shoot me down at other things, I feel victorious! Like all my waiting and patience paid off. Squee!!!!
